traffic update, australia

Hi Derek,
I appreciate that it would be extremely challenging for TG to have an AI model and livery for every flight on the database. However there are some examples that have been previously highlighted where TG does have a livery in its data base, but another none existant livery has been substituted. The recent post about MAIT Mongolian appearing on many UK airport flight plans is an example. In this case the plans clearly belong to TUI. For Australia it look like Volare has been substituted for Virgin Australia. As I have pointed out these can be fixed by the user either by substituting for the correct livery or creating their own flight plans.
I agree that such issues should be reported to the "help" team but there is often a delay in receiving a response. Therefore its also sensible to report such issues within the community as somebody out there may have a more immediate solution.

@Lockheed-lad
Though this is not exactly a solution, it might be worth compiling with 'Use Alternate Liveries' UNchecked (if, of course, you haven't already:beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes: ).It has always tended to make some very peculiar substitutions for entire airlines.
One such instance resulted in Austrian airbuses turning up in S America.
Compiling without that box activated reverted them all to the correct S American airline.

I've been intrigued by this one for yonks, as it has popped up a few times, but there has never been a ticket raised and the information has always been sketchy. I've recently managed to get as far as discovering that the planes don't actually appear in the game, just in the error logs, which I suppose is some progress towards a solution, but no further, sadly. TUi, (like Virgin Australia, coincidentally), has had some re-branding and holding company changes in recent years, which may be an explanation, but it could be an issue with the database. Or something else.
NB - what is your ticket number regarding the import problems?
-
Hi Derek,
Ticket no 54514. Thanks.
Ref TUI: In the early days TUI flights appeared but were subsequently substituted by our Mongolian friends.
-
when you say 'appeared' do you mean in the sky? Or in an error log?
-
Come to think of it the TUI 757 disappeared off the data base for a while.
I did create my own flights for the TUI 737-800 so that probably indicates that the flight plans had been substituted by our Mongolian MIATS from the release of TG. It was a while ago and the memory fades!

@Lockheed-lad your right volare planes instead of virgin.

Hi aardvark111,
First thing I would recommend is to submit a ticket to the Just Flight help team via their web site. You will need your TG order number.
Here is an image of one page of flight plans for Brisbane YBBN. I use a separate computer for FS which does not have e-mail so this is a photo of the screen.
Out of 26 plans only 6 would produce traffic. These are:
QF 737H x 4
Air Pacific 737H
China 359
Liveries exist in the data base for this plans, for all the others there are no liveries available. I noticed that the traffic density set for the Qantas 737 flights were 81,78,75.82. These are high. The higher the density the less chance of seeing the flight. Density should be set to under 50 for flights you want to see. Make sure that the traffic setting on your computer is set to 100 but if you end up with too much traffic you can adjust this down.As I said before you can fix missing flights by amending individual flight plans. Test and save each plan then compile TG when you are done. This should produce much more traffic.
In terms of the Australian domestic airline scene the following models and liveries are available to you:
Qantas : 717, 737.8, 747.4, 330.2, 380, Dash 8-3 Dash 8-4, F100, MD80
Virgin Oz : 737.8, 773, ATR 72
Alliance : F70
Australian Air Express: R185
Ansett Air Freight: R 185
Rex: S340Sorry if I have missed some more.
I appreciate that some of these aircraft types are no longer in use but there is a reasonable choice. I could not see any liveries for Jet Star or Tiger. You can ask the help desk if they could add these in the next update!
There are lots of international liveries in the programme. You can check which ones are available via the AI fleet section under "Aircraft Explorer"
You can also add your own flight plans to increase traffic. The product manual gives details on how to do this. I have added over 400.
I hope this helps.
