@Voice-of-Reason said in First impressions from a 1000+ hour Caravan driver.: @jmarkows Don't tempt him. Black Square NB-36H... Now that would be FUN. But Nick would probably swim the Atlantic just to clip me round the head for even suggesting it.

Please no. It might be funny for a short time but will become a anoyance on long flights. Or at least make it optional like in the LearJet 35a. You can turn it off within the tablet. I would turn it off immediately!

@kityatyi said in Update is out: Also, I thought we'd get visible pax Sorry to disappoint, but there are several threads on this forum about the functionality that was removed in MSFS 2024 that led me to the difficult decision not to include passenger models in my aircraft. Luckily, one of my industrious users has created a mod, which serves as a great option for those of us who don't want to fly with an empty cabin.

Nothing should have changed in that department, and I haven't seen that behavior myself, however, the MSFS 2024 payload and pilot entering/exiting the aircraft is very poorly implemented in my estimation. There are at least a few topics on the developer support forum that pertain to this kind of issue.

Nothing should have changed in that department. I've seen it working for me recently, but the Caravan's gear being bouncy sometimes makes it challenging to engage beta on unimproved surfaces. There's a note about this in the manual's FAQ, recommending unrestricted beta mode for bush flying.

+1 for a Supervan 900 version with (simplified) parachute ops please! The one I flew had five push buttons on a separate panel: 1 Clearance Received (blue light) 2 3NM (red) 3 1NM (yellow) 4 Exit (green) 5 Reset

@kityatyi I understand why Black Square makes their choices about passengers. It feels so bad to look back inside of my beautiful passenger aircraft which is as close to real life as they can make it, and realize no imaginary passengers are enjoying the flight.

I was not even aware that this limiter exists. Will check and disable it. Thx EDIT: It was not the limiter inside the sim. This one was off. But it looks like something along the same setting inside windows seems to have caused the issue. It is related to redcued sound when comms are used. Default was reduce sound to 80% when comms in use. Something must have triggerd this. Did an extensive flight without issues now. Thx again

Yea I'm not going to continue water operations till things improve. Saddly it was the main reason I bought the Caravan to expand my part135 operation to water destinations. But for now it's only pax and cargo on land.

@MiRexer A deadzone doesn't fit this case. It only happens when braking and not because of the rudder. Normal taxi is absolutely fine. And under braking braking axis are more than 0. But I'll try anyways
