Steam Gauge Overhaul

As a note, I have heard of an issue similar to this. I think it was in the base sim, not sure if it was fixed. Back then the developer also said they couldn't replicate it. Turns out the reason for this was that the developer was pressing B to set the altimeter. This also did other things in the background that fixed the discrepancy. Not sure if this is the same issue here, but if anyone is trying to replicate this, try to do it without hitting B and by setting the altimeter by hand.

I finally found the cause of the stuttering. It's Windows Defender. When it's disabled everything works fine, no stuttering with the Bonanza or the Baron. So I installed an antivirus configured in game mode and that replaces WD. So everything works fine. Thank you all for your help

@voice-of-reason Thank you for the response. It does clear this up as I was trying to trouble shoot between different gtn units, mods, etc. Hopefully, msfs will provide more functionality for this in the future. On another note... I've flown both of these airplanes in the past and you've done a great job with both of them. Enjoying them very much.

@voice-of-reason Wow, very cool… looking forward to this. You guys pushed the bar of GA study level quite a bit. After only flying the C310R since it‘s release, I never thought I would prefer another aircraft over it. But in fact, with your Baron mod, now I do. The sense of ownership was one of the main reasons for me to stick to one plane for such a long time. And with the turbos, pressurization, radar alt, engine monitor with lean assist and tip tanks, I love the complexity… the more the better. PS: I love your implementation of the KNS-81 RNAV. You nailed it.

@sleepy81 Thx you’re absolutely correct. Tried setting correct baro altitude as per manual by pressing alt hold on the AP with no luck.

Update: despite TDS manager saying I was up to date and all of my other planes were working fine, I re-downloaded the TDS manager and reinstalled the TDS and now the king air is also fine. Sometimes software makes no damn sense. Resolved.

I have not yet found the POH for the turbo model.

@gcbraun I hear engines fine in any location - once they have started. What is missing for me is the sound of them cranking.

Reply for you, direct from the developer. When the weather radar gets stuck on the self test screen, it is indicative of an avionics server crash due to some conflict in the community folder, likely a GPS addon that is out of date. I know that Just Flight support has coached many people to a solution on this before, so I would recommend contacting them. They can always reach me for help if needed too. Hope that helps.

@sirex it looks like this was not quite true. I cleared out the community folder, but the working title mod in the marketplace was still there and needed updating. Even when not using it in the aircraft it caused the above issues. Got it working now !

@lemny On the good side, many of the default SimConnect events are working.
