Steam Gauge Overhaul

Thank you @altack and @Black-Square I originally bought the King Air from Marketplace, and it did not contain the AnalogKingAir.xml file. Now I have (also) bought it from Just flight, also because I want to move to MSFS2024, and I could not get it to work with the Marketplace version (lesson learned...) But now I have the file, my chances are much better Thanks for your help.

Hi Guys, I get the same problem (from time to time) using MSFS popout Manager and my.... G1000 King Air homecockpit (but with the great Black Square Analog King Air as a backbone). So any help on that matter would be appreciated. Regards, Francois

@Outermarker One has to get the balance right between keeping customers well informed and avoiding too much AWNTY* for the development teams. I am quite sure there will be some more news in due course, but I think it is fair to say that most development date projections are a target first and foremost.

Is there the potential to give the users the ability to customise avionics outside of the simulator by choosing just one for that aircraft, just like the possibility to create a turbocharged, non-tip tanks entry by copying a folder and modifying a textual parameter?

This happens so much with so many different things (not just imported BSQ aircraft for what it's worth) in 2024 I just leave collision off. The common denominator for me was "various 3rd party scenery": in my case most often it would happen turning off of runway 35 at twy A at Tacoma Narrows (TIW). I have the Orbx scenery for it and there is just some seam or misalignment in various parts of the field that cause this, whatever it is is invisible to me. I've also seen it at Anacortes taking off south, multiple planes, same thing: you crashed! I also have a 3rd party scenery there, too. I thought I was doing something wrong til I disabled collision and magically everything is fine. No random bumps in the physics, just smooth sailing. If I had to guess, that may be your issue: if you haven't, try another field with just the basic 2024 scenery and maybe as flat a runway as you can find. Failing that, disable collision, though I can understand not wanting to.

I didn’t see any warning lights on either the glare shield or the pedestal, although it’s possible my view of that pedestal light was blocked by the throttles.

@hangar_101 In my case, using the Bravo instead of the Alpha, this works quite well in MSFS 2024. The only difference in the way the I used it was for one of the on/off switches instead of a button, so I did not use the [SWITCH_ENGINE (Device)] in the upper portion. Cheers!

I've had one other report of this nature with Starship, but I don't believe anything changed in this respect between the early versions of the Bonanza and the later ones. I'm also not sure there is anything I can do about it. The flight director's behavior is related to the autopilot control constants, which I tune for automatic flight. As you can imagine, a sensitive FD while hand flying is much less of an issue to the average flight simmer than an oscillating autopilot. I could filter the output of the flight director, but I'm not sure that would actually make it any easier to adhere to while flying.

Keeping the battery bus thread alive... I've finally had some down time that allowed me to install v1.4 of the Analog King Air. Loving it so far. Want to run something by the group to make sure its not a "me" problem. I think the taxi lights should run off of the battery/center bus. But they don't seem to be that way in MSFS 2020. Has anyone else noticed this? Stefan

Absolutely, yes, if I have any more questions I will surely ask, so far things are looking pretty good, I been away from msfs2020 quite some time because I was just tired of the stuttering, the poor frame rate performance and just having to set almost everything to low settings on my older PC, I now have a new PC with a 4090 graphics card and it has much better performance, I was rusty for a while there having been away, especially with the avionics, but now its coming back, I am sure things can get busy for you so any future questions I will try to make worth the while. Update - problem was solved by re-installing MSFS 2020.

As stated above, the rules keep changing... but for now (SU2), you can make these addons work by copying the 2020 base aircraft to your Community folder. For the King Air, that would be the entire asobo-aircraft-kingair350 folder.

@Black-Square I noticed the Bezel as an install, ok,...it's not.
