Steam Gauge Overhaul

@hangar_101 In my case, using the Bravo instead of the Alpha, this works quite well in MSFS 2024. The only difference in the way the I used it was for one of the on/off switches instead of a button, so I did not use the [SWITCH_ENGINE (Device)] in the upper portion. Cheers!

I've had one other report of this nature with Starship, but I don't believe anything changed in this respect between the early versions of the Bonanza and the later ones. I'm also not sure there is anything I can do about it. The flight director's behavior is related to the autopilot control constants, which I tune for automatic flight. As you can imagine, a sensitive FD while hand flying is much less of an issue to the average flight simmer than an oscillating autopilot. I could filter the output of the flight director, but I'm not sure that would actually make it any easier to adhere to while flying.

Keeping the battery bus thread alive... I've finally had some down time that allowed me to install v1.4 of the Analog King Air. Loving it so far. Want to run something by the group to make sure its not a "me" problem. I think the taxi lights should run off of the battery/center bus. But they don't seem to be that way in MSFS 2020. Has anyone else noticed this? Stefan

Absolutely, yes, if I have any more questions I will surely ask, so far things are looking pretty good, I been away from msfs2020 quite some time because I was just tired of the stuttering, the poor frame rate performance and just having to set almost everything to low settings on my older PC, I now have a new PC with a 4090 graphics card and it has much better performance, I was rusty for a while there having been away, especially with the avionics, but now its coming back, I am sure things can get busy for you so any future questions I will try to make worth the while. Update - problem was solved by re-installing MSFS 2020.

As stated above, the rules keep changing... but for now (SU2), you can make these addons work by copying the 2020 base aircraft to your Community folder. For the King Air, that would be the entire asobo-aircraft-kingair350 folder.

Yes, thanks again to you guys, RPGGamerous and Black Square Dev, you guys have been most helpful, and so I got right to it and now things are back on track, I didn't waste no time because I wanted to get to the bottom of all this as the King Air is my all time favorite Turbo Prop, and yes, this Analog King Air realism is not lacking in the cockpit like the default Aircraft, there has been an extraordinary amount of attention to detail placed on this add-on so I don't anticipate any future issues as its pretty solid but I appreciate the offer of help if needed, you can never know for sure.

Yes exactly. One GTN750 can do holds on airways (which is required in real life), the other (PMSS50) cannot. That's why I moved to TDS. But it sounds like you are saying the PMSS50 has its own AP logic which I would have to give higher weighting vs holds, so I will probably switch back. Win some and lose some. Regardless, your aircraft fleet are outstanding.

@rbringh I bet what happened to me was related to the beta -- I forgot that I had joined the beta briefly, but then left because I wanted to join some group flights with folks who weren't on the beta. Strange that in my case the planes were actually removed from my Community folder though.

You have me thinking regarding the KI 525A. Someone who is spending that much money on an aircraft equipped w/ a GTN750, RA, tip tanks, etc. is almost certainly going to invest in an CDI that has a motor and auto-aligns to the next leg in the GPS flight plan, do you agree? My understanding of what you are saying is the KI 525 doesn't have a motor for CRS changes, therefore you have to set it on every turn along a GPS FP in the actual aircraft? This seems to be even more of a question in my mind for someone investing in a (to-be) turbo prop kit. So if my understanding is correct, then do you have a different course deviation indicator instrument for the professional version coming soon? I'm not going to ask you "how soon" as I'm sure you get that all to often currently. Thanks for your perspective. Kirk

Thank you. YES, anticipating the Bonanza Professional. Have picked up my flying in the BS Bonanza in anticipation of the turbo prop Bonanza.

Of course! You will also want to turn on circuit #16, by setting A:CIRCUIT SWITCH ON:16. Sorry that you still have to go looking for variables like this in my older aircraft. In all my newer aircraft, including the Caravan Professional, I've tried to make every custom interaction settable with just one L:Var, and they are all included in the manual. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with in the meantime! It's very quick and easy for me to look up these kinds of things in my own code, so I am always happy to save my users the time and frustration of trying to figure it out themselves.
