I REALLLLLLY prefer the light background panels but there are a number of liveries that I like but have the right side of the panel black. I've tried to figure out how to change the files to load the other panel but have not been able to figure it out. Is there a way to do this?

If you're just looking to load one particular panel, then it's as easy as copy-pasting some image files. If you're looking to create your own panel from two halves that appear elsewhere, then it's as easy as editing some image files. For the former, I think JayDee posted a tutorial here. Otherwise, I'm happy to help.

I couldn't find his tutorials - can you give a hint as to what image files make up the panels? I'm trying to get the light panel from 972HJ on pretty much all the other liveries (including add on ones).

Oh, you mean the light tan panel? I just assumed you meant the grey. It should be as easy as dropping BARON_PANEL_ALBD.PNG.DDS (2020) or BARON_PANEL_ALBD.PNG.KTX2 (2024) wherever you need them. You might as well also copy BARON_PANEL_COMP.PNG.DDS and BARON_PANEL_COMP.PNG.KTX2 while you're at it so everything is exactly the same. Oh, and if you're using MSFS 2024, then you will also need to copy the json files of the same name, since everything is more difficult in MSFS 2024.

Excellent!!! I'll be trying it out when I land in NADI in about a half hour. Flying the P Baron around the world south of the equator - it's a LOOOOONG way across the south pacific and man what a machine for it!!! Had a couple 1700nm legs 🙂

Amazing. I'm hoping I might get to fly one of my virtual aircraft around the world some day... probably when I retire from making them and we're all using MSFS 2038.

Doesn't seem to be working. Your talking about in the Texture.??sInterior folders in bksq-aircraft-baronpro? That's the only place I could find those files.

That's correct. You could send me some screenshots of what you did. You also might have to rebuild the layout.json at the root of the package, but I don't think that's actually required by MSFS 2024 yet.

                    Screenshot 2025-11-10 011308.jpg

I copied these 4 files into all of the Texture.70sInterior folders in bksq-aircraft-baronpro (and overwrote any that were already there). Still looks like the same panels on all the liveries.

They all look the same, including the 70's ones that you overwrote? Hmm... Also, I realized that my instructions were poor. You copied those files from the textures directory, correct? We might have some cache silliness going on. Try dropping the layout.json file on top of this program once you've made your edits.

Got it!! Thanks so much. I think I didn't copy them out of textures. I think I copied them from one of the Texture.??Interior ones at first and I think that was my issue. I did try the MSFSLayoutGenerator too so it's possible that did it. I have all my liveries fixed now!!
