    • NAV lights disappear 5m away from the AC. Seen this on 2020 AC imported to 2024. Updated to 2024 SDK?
    • LDG- and TWY LGTs very weak. Nearly useless as they barely light up the ground. The light sources themselves/bulbs seem strong, but the effect on ground is minimal.
    • Wing LGTs could be stronger. Again: strong source, weak effect.
    • Strobes + BCN: 'invisible' in daylight. OK at night, but could also need a boost.

Hope these can be looked at for the 2024 version.

I've noticed this on the ground when it's dark: with Nav lights on, I can't see the Red/Green lights on the plane's wingtips, but I can see the glow of those lights on the tarmac below. Does this relate to your observations?

@SteveKane Yeah, might be NAV lights still light up the ground, even though the light source itself disappears at a certain (way too short) distance.

The nav lights disappearing as you move away from the aircraft is something we have looked into in the past; however, the nav light LODs are something that are being controlled entirely by the simulator. We will, however, take another look at a potential workaround ahead of the next update to the RJ.

With regards to the lack of brightness of aircraft lighting during the day, this is sadly a limitation of how MSFS 2024 handles aircraft lighting. The lighting in all of our MSFS 2024 aircraft has been fine-tuned to have realistic brightness levels at night, which does mean that certain lights can look dim or not lit during the day. If we were to increase the brightness of the lights to make them visible during the day, then that would have the side effect of making the lights extremely bright at night.

We remain hopeful that this may be something that will be improved in future MSFS Sim Updates.

Strange. Bcs I've seen the disappering NAV lights in several 2020 AC ported to 2024.
When they are 2024 'native' NAV lights have been fixed.
Look at the Fenix. No disappearing NAV lights. Taxi-/Rwy lights light up the ground properly etc.
            IniA350 too.
So, some devs are obviously able to fix this.

The NAV light LOD behaviour isn't directly fixed by building a product as an MSFS 2024 native package, as the behaviour exists with the RJ, which post v0.1.4, is an MSFS 2024 native package.

We do have some ideas on how we can work around the NAV lights LOD limitation, and we will be investigating them ahead of the next update to the RJ.
