    Hi all,

When I 1st installed the Hawk and did a steep climb on full power then throttle to idle, I had F.PR, Gen, AC1.2.3 lit on the warning panel then didn't see it again.

Ran the Hawk today and same thing again but in level flight, going back to idle causes the failure.

Both times when spawning on the runway.
Any body any ideas why, I have a slight theory but will have to experiment to test it.

    regards

    Steve

OK after a few more mins testing it confirmed what I thought when I first tried the Hawk, there is a bug, I think it's a bug as I cannot find a wrong switch setting.
The above failures only occur if I use spawn at runway or ready to take off setting. If I do a manual startup it doesn't get this problem. I have seen a similar power failure in MSFS2020 on spawning at the runway with other aircraft.

The failure in the Hawk only happens if I throttle back to idle. Any body any ideas.
I've also got a strange behaviour in the Vulcan with changing control options, but will leave that for another post once I've done several flights in it.

This sounds like a control assignment conflict that is causing the Hawk's throttle to move back into the FUEL OFF position when you return your physical throttle to idle.

I would recommend checking your external hardware for the following control assignments, to see if they are being inadvertently triggered when you move your throttle to idle:

        TOGGLE ENGINE 1 FUEL VALVE
        SET ENGINE 1 FUEL VALVE
        THROTTLE DECREASE

If any of those are being triggered, delete those control assignments or create a new controller profile with those removed, and try another flight in the Hawk.

        Hope that helps.

          Hi Mark,

I'm trying to get me head around the lvars in the Vulcan which I got yesterday so I'll come back to this in a little while. I think from your reply you may have missed what I was trying to point out and that is, this only happens if I spawn at the runway ready for take off or use the efb ready to take off option. If I go through the rear cockpit config then through the startup in the front cockpit of course then this problem does not happen, so to me it's not a control assignment as it's the same in both cases. I've come of the Vulcan now to look again at the Hawk configs. I do have SET ENGINE 1 FUEL VALVE on my left eng switch and GTS/Apu on the right eng switch of the TCA Airbus quadrant.
