I am so happy that JF have now released their fabulous RJ100 for FS24.

    I have just completed a flight EGHI-EGNS.

I started cold and dark at the gate and saw that the FMS was not powering up. So I restarted the flight but this time the game crashed as I entered the cockpit. On the third attempt things went better at this point and the FMC was live. I was able to power up the aircraft from cold and dark and successfully entered the flight plan (created by SimBrief/Navigraph) into the FMC. I loaded my cargo and passengers and off we went.

I did try to place the SimBrief flight plan into the RJ100's Flight Plan folder, but it was non-existent. I used C:\User\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Packages\Community\justflight-aircraft-rj\Work There was no flight plan folder there so I had to create my own one adn drop the flight plan file into it. The flight plan did show in the tablet and I was able to import the flight plan into the tablet. However, I was not able to call up the flight plan via the FMC. In the end I had to manually enter the leg details etc.

Soon after take-off I activated the Auto Pilot. It obeyed my climb rate. but when I engaged LNAV the aircraft banked so sharply that I had bank angle warnings and the AP disengaged itself. Once I straightened the aircraft up again I re-engaged AP and the same thing happened. However, I was using live weather and it is extremely windy here right now. So I cleared the weather and selected Clear Skies. The aircraft then settled down and behaved itself.

Descent went well and once I saw the localiser come alive I engaged the LOC button. The aircraft immediately turned in the opposite direction to the way the localiser was indicating. However, I did notice that in the two panels that show the localiser/glideslope (the one that shows the artificial horizon - which shows two pink tabs for the localiser and glideslope) differed from the rose dial below. One seemed to say I was left of the localiser, the other claimed I was to the right of it. I have, however, noticed this happens in default FS24 aircraft, so I am not convinced it's an RJ 100 issue. I eventually had to approach manually.

Deboarding and shut down went well, though once all the passengers and cargo were off, I didn't get any notifications from the cabin crew that the aircraft was empty, and the music continued to play.

One other minor issue I did have during the flight was that the map in the tablet keeps flickering.

But all in all I had a successful flight with the RJ100 in FS24.

Thank you for the feedback. There is a lot to digest there but I'll leave a few comments below on a few points.

With regards to the aircraft loading in, there are some known issues with WASM compiling in MSFS 2024 as well as an issue with the latest Navigraph 2412 navdata that can cause displays not the power on. This is covered in point 1 of the following FAQ as well as some workarounds: https://support.justflight.com/en/support/solutions/articles/17000143831-rj-professional-msfs-2024-known-issues

The file directory for flight plans is different in MSFS 2024 compared to the previous simulator:

      MSFS 2020 – Microsoft Store:
      C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\justflight-aircraft-rj\work\JustFlight\FlightPlans

      MSFS 2020 – Steam:
      C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\justflight-aircraft-rj\work\JustFlight\FlightPlans

      MSFS 2024 – Microsoft Store:
      C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\MSFS2020\justflight-aircraft-rj\work\JustFlight\FlightPlans

      MSFS 2024 – Steam:
      C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\WASM\MSFS2020\justflight-aircraft-rj\work\JustFlight\FlightPlans

The three RJ Professional manuals have also been updated with the v0.1.2 update to include various minor differences between 2020 and 2024 file directories:

      RJ Professional Operations Manual
      RJ Professional EFB Manual
      GNLU-910A FMS Operations Manual

We'll continue to monitor feedback for the other points you have mentioned, and apply any necessary fixes in the upcoming updates to the RJ Professional.
