Unfortunately this is the vagaries of MP pricing. The only price we can provide to MS is our US$ price. That is $69.99 for the standalone aircraft and $125.98 for the bundle. Existing owners of the 146 get the RJ at $55.99.
MS have their own rules for currency conversions and, AFAIK, also have some regional pricing differences in certain areas. Our £ Sterling price (We are UK based) on our site for the RJ is £52.49 and £42 with discount.
I am not sure how the MarketPlace gets to £65.79 from $69.99, but it's not something we have any control over. I suspect they convert it to £ at some arbitrary rate and then add VAT. NB that the discount is 20% off the SRP and that SRP will obviously vary from sites depending on the purchase site's location, currency and VAT.

Update - it looks like MS has adjusted its bundle price down. Their system logic could only work on 20% off the bundle - ie, 10% off each aircraft. Not ideal, but they are new to this online retail stuff....

I just looked at the MP price for the RJ. £65.79. On the JF website it's £52.49. That's a £13.30 difference. Stuff getting it from MP. As soon as the FS24 version is out I'll be purchasing it direct from JF.

OK thanks for the explanation, it appears it will be cheaper to buy the RJ via JF even without the 20% discount. However, is there anyway to get the 20% discount if purchasing the RJ from JF if the -146 was previously purchased via MP/Steam?
My other question is, will it cause any problems if I have the -146 purchased from MP and the RJ from JF on my system? (I have a mixed setup for the PMDG 737-7/8/9 without problems, only difference seems to be updates are delayed from MP).

To answer your questions, we can only really provide the discount if you buy from the same store. That's to ensure it is fair to the other stores. It wouldn't be entirely ethical to offer buyers the chance to switch loyalty by offering a discount.

In terms of the two aircraft there should be no conflict as they are completely standalone products and don't rely on each other to work.

              Many thanks for your replies.

I have now purchased the RJ through the JF shop at the normal price. I can't complain too much as I originally purchased the -146 through MP because it was in a sale and 20% off at the time.

If I purchased the 146 through the JF store and have it installed where can I find the discount code for purchasing the RJ through JF again or will it automatically insert it during payment. Just would rather not risk thinking it would be automatic for it not to be, fairly large discount to miss out on :).

@Speedbird85Heavy The code will be in your account, contained within your146 Professional order. Just C&P the code and use in the required place during checkout.

                  Hope that helps.

I was going to wait until the FS24 upgrade of the RJ100 was out before buying. However, I thought I might as well get it now and enjoy it on FS20 until the upgrade is issued. Therefore: purchased. 😃

Weirdest price ever in the UK.

I figured it had something to do with conversion/parity with U.S. Marketplace.

Usually we have 29.99 or 34.99.

I was initially, extremely discombobulated... but once I saw my discount code, I was "inordinately happy about it" ... to steal a line from Bodie in The Professionals... 😂
