Probably a dumb question - but do the BAE146 liveries work with the RJ?

We have purposely kept the paint kit for the 146 and RJ exteriors the same so that liveries can be transferred between both aircraft. However, liveries created for the 146 will need their file directories updated in the package in order for them to work correctly with the RJ.

@Mark just wondering if this is a straightforward process? I assume I can Google it?

It should be fairly straightforward if you're familiar with the MSFS file structure, otherwise, it may take a bit of trial and error. It predominantly requires editing a few .cfg and .json files in the livery package. For example, any file path references for the 146 will need to be updated to the RJ file paths.

We are also starting to see community liveries starting to pop up on flightsim.to, so the liveries you desire may soon be updated or newly created for the RJ in the near future.

Awesome. When I get some time I will dig into it! Really enjoying the plane.

It would be great if you could convert the liveries you have the for 146 for the RJ. I'd love to fly the AirCal and PSA liveries on this aircraft.

it would be great to get some sort of utility to help transfer liveries. I'm being denied the ability to transfer over liveries... 'not allowed to place file here'

Edit: I managed to get past that issue. I made a few changes to the .cfg copying what the other liveries do, but now when I load into MSFS the aircraft and VC is pink...

I know I could figure this out, but I'm out of patience today. Would love a step by step guide JF.

I am having some difficulty getting the "BAE146_EXT02_MSFS_SURFACE.PNG.DDS" to show metallic on a livery I am working on...all the other "surface" files are showing metallic correctly, except for EXT02...am I missing something?

@mjv5757 Are you creating a livery for the RJ100? If so, you'll need to use the filename 'BAE146_EXT02_MSFS_300_surface'.

@Martyn It is for the RJ-85. All the other surface files have "MSFS_SURFACE" and work just fine, that is why I assumed that is the correct file name?

It looks not easy to transform a liverie from 146 to RJ... Can anyone provide a list of which files has to be renamed? I have a repaint I would love to use on the RJ but I dont think the creator is transforming it soon, so I would trie it myself.
