First noticed this on a cross country flight and tried to isolate. Seems random for either Nav or Hdg hold. Altitude hold works when Nav or Hdg drops out.

This isn't something we have experienced on our side. From a coding perspective, the autopilot modes on the Tomahawk's EFB are very basic and all we do is trigger the corresponding MSFS autopilot mode when a button is pressed on the EFB. There isn't any custom autopilot disconnect logic, etc that could be causing it.

I would firstly recommend checking your external hardware (joystick/yoke) to ensure that there isn't any spiking occurring went the control is in the neutral position. If there is some spiking then that could cause the autopilot to disconnect and you may wish to increase the dead zone of that axis in MSFS Options > Control Options.

If you have one of the various GPS options selected when the autopilot mode disconnects, this may be due to some logic with that selected GPS. When one of the GPS options is enabled, the GPS overrules the Tomahawk's autopilot code and takes full control. Therefore if this is the case, it could be intentional logic from the GPS developer based on the aircraft's current situation or position on the flight plan. If you suspect this is the case, we would recommend searching for any documentation the GPS developer may have on their GPS to see if that may highlight a reason why this may be occurring, or contacting the GPS developer directly if you suspect this may be a bug with the GPS.

    We hope that helps.

Mark, Turns out it was the GTN750 needing an update. I came back to report this. Thanks for your reply.
