Ok - this is "strange". To be clear the trigger is the idiot in the cockpit but I'm confused as to why this happens.

On two consecutive flights now I've rested my feet on the rudders while in cruise or descent and managed to input a boot-full of rudder.

As expected plane lurches in whatever direction, alarm and A/P goes off and I end up in a banking descent.

I cycle AP, try to shut the alarm up (which doesn't happen until I use my bound sync key) and get myself straight and level, aligned with FD which is tracking the armed LNAV as it should.

I then re-engage A/P and the FD is followed but I'm flying with a constant bank angle. All looks correct re trims and engines but whatever I do the bank stays in.

On the positive side I've twice now disconnected A/P and manually followed GS down from much higher than normal which is satisfying but I'd dedarly love to know why I get stuck in the bank..

Images show the view I have and the trim controls when in the situation. I will try to recreate when I get the time with a deliberate boot-full again but video it while I do.

@b3lt3r Any difference if you disengage and then reengage the yaw damper?

@martyn didn't think of that (I should). Will try to recreate now.

        Thx

@b3lt3r Just like taking the car to the garage - it never makes "that" noise (until you drive away).... Took a hop from EGNT to EGNM and tried everything to make it happen but no dice. I will see if it does it again when it matters on a VA sector and be sure to cycle YD as well.

          Thx

@b3lt3r I was having problems with the AP in the decent. Only seemed to do it when a flying IFR with a flightplan. I tried deleting my community folder but then seemed to loose all my ifr routes and waypoints. Tried deleting all aircraft files and all sorts. Then deleted my navigraph stuff and still no ifr routes or waypoints. Then saw something about reinstating waypoints by reinstalling Navigraph (which needed updating) anyway it's a long winded way of saying "I only bloody well fixed it) not 100% sure what actually fixed it, but I am over the moon. Fantastic couple of flights today without any errors. (Now I've gone and said it lol)
