How to cancel the Autopilot alarm

Hi All,

Every time I turn off the autopilot I get an alarm, which the master caution button doesn't cancel.

How can I stop the alarm without turning the autopilot back on?

The TOGGLE AUTOPILOT MASTER and AUTOPILOT OFF control assignments should also disconnect the autopilot in a way that prevents the continuous warning, instead just triggering the short audible warning that doesn't require the yoke AP DISC button to be pressed.
