    Hi, I am finding it impossible to trim for level flight.
    When I try to trim the aircraft it will usually be out by up to 1000 fpm
    between opposing button presses.

    Looking at the outside hud view I notice that each button press = 1.0 trim as opposed to 0.1 for the other aircraft.

    Is this supposed to be like that ?

    @john688 I've had similar issues, which seem to be associated with a general lack of pitch stability in flight; and yaw stability on the runway. It's hardly the ideal solution, but for me the aircraft is very much more manageable, in the air and on the ground, since installing a replacement flightmodel.cfg available as an aircraft enhancement (whose existence suggests others have also encountered this) from flightsim.to

      @ken Thanks I'll give it a try.
      I just got the F-104G and it trims beautifully.

        @ken Is the replacement flightmodel.cfg still available on Flightsim.to? I've searched for it and found no results.

        The trimming is a nightmare.

                @martyn Good news indeed. Have any other adjustments been made to the FDE?

                  Yes, there'll be various tweaks to the FDE in the update as well as other changes listed here: https://community.justflight.com/topic/2845/update-change-logs-v0-1-4-released-edited-2-2-22

                    Hi @martyn, the trim is significantly better with this release. Thank you.

                    One suggestion for the changelog: How about stating what FDE stands for and/or expanding on what had been changed. I've had four discussions yesterday with other simmers trying to understand if the trim fix was included in this release or not. Can you pass that on to the team please?

                      @baw24p FDE is Flight Dynamics Engine, it's been used interchangeably over the years with 'flight model', but the latter seems to be used more recently for the core simulator's flight dynamics setup with FDE used for an individual aircraft.

                      There is an entire thread on the PA28s about the adjustments, why it has taken so long and why there isn't a specific log of changes, but for the Hawk the trim has been adjusted, the elevator effectiveness on the lowest end of the speed range to give less PIO on take off, also several minor tweaks to basic handling.

                        @delta558 So glad the PIO (Pilot Induced Oscillation) has been sorted, I was starting to think it was me!
