    I found out, that I got up to 10 fps more if I turn the iPad of.
    Hiding / showing makes no difference.
    You have to turn it off with the home button (round button on the right of the iPad).

      Strange!
      Hiding/showing works for me! As soon as I hide it I get the performance boost; even if it's turned on when I hide it!

          Are you using the last stable version?

              jep, you are right. Simply hiding does the job.

                @Lemny
                What I have noted is that the GNS750 uses around 5-6 fps more than the other nav units

                  ah, yes, I found the plane runs pretty smooth. But I just bought it only because of the full old school setup and never use the modern Garmins.

                  But it's a huge bummer, that you can't bin the rotaries of my HOTAS to the frequencies because the binding only refer to the standby freq, which this plane does not have. I hope JF could fix that or give uns an another option for the little never NAV panels with the standby function.

                    How do you hide it? It was the first thing I tried to figure out when I got the plane!

                      @Moespeeds
                      There are twp toggle switches close together center right of the middle nav unit
                      flick the right switch down to hide it

                        Have a look on Axis and Ohs from Lorby, with that (payware) you could program your HOTAS to change the frequency directly!
