Dual GNS behavior

Shouldn't I be able to tune a VOR on the 530 and have it show on NAV1, and have a GPS route in the 430 controlling NAV2? What seems to be happening now is the physical switch changes between VLOC and GPS mode on both GNS units, but regardless of what the 430 says, it just uses the tuned VOR. Also, they seem to be tied together so loading a flight plan on one does the same on the other. Is this the real-world behavior or should they operate independently?

@vcapra1 There currently is no GPS unit in the sim that will give you anywhere near the same behaviour as the real units. I'm not sure if the sim allows to have the second GPS unit routed to NAV2, but I do know that you cannot have 2 separate flight plans.
