    Hi,

Great to hear there's an update already for the PA28.

Some advice, once the update has been downloaded, is it necessary to uninstall the original version via Settings/Apps&Features first, or can you simply install the update over the current install?

    Thanks,

We'd advise to uninstall before installing the latest version.

I'm a bit confused. If an uninstall is required, it should be done by the installer automatically, doesn't it?
There is no hint about uninstalling a previous version when downloading the update. If that's really required, please add this instruction so that people don't have to dig in the forums to know that.

I installed without prior uninstall (since I expected this to be done by the installer, if required) and haven't seen any issues with that approach so far.

Yes, it should prompt to uninstall. We'll check that here but in reality it shouldn't matter.
