XP12 Fuel Pump Activation Issue

I recently upgraded my sim to XP12 and installed the
XP12 PA-28R Turbo Arrow III-IV model.I've noticed a problem with the fuel pump switch behavior.
Operating the fuel pump switch with the mouse shows
the correct behavior (fuel flow/pump sound effects).Invoking the "sim/fuel/fuel_pump_1_{off|on|tog}" commands
in DataRefTool or operating the Saitek switch panel fuel
pump switch does nothing.The correct commands appear to be sent but there's no change
to panel switch position, no fuel flow, and no sound effect.All this works in the model's XP11 version.
Anyone seen this behavior and can advise how to fix it?
