No internal sounds

After some testing I think the standard engine volume level inside should be the one you get when pulling both VENTS around halfway. Then it seems reasonable for what you hear in similar planes + what can be judged from real life recordings. It seems like closing the VENTS (leaving them closed) is giving too strong of a muffling/sound isolation effect.
As an intermediate solution I'm now constantly pulling both vents around 60-70% out during all phases of flight, and it sounds reasonable then.

@Black-Square here is the video i pulled together. it's sectioned off by some time in the caravan pro cockpit, then the turbine duke cockpit, and finally the analog caravan cockpit using the ftsim+ sounds. Please excuse the beginner-level editing and lack of adherence to checklists. I'll repair my engines prior to my next flights, I promise.

I wanted to try to pull together a small sample of sounds that might help me compose some more meaningful thoughts to give you.
I realize sounds are super subjective so take this feedback as you please. The engine sounds on the new caravan pro sound much quieter to me, especially at the ends of the throttle (at idle, it sounds like there's a cabin fan running in the background, not an engine) and at max power it just feels like it's missing that throaty roar that you get out of the other two soundscapes. It just feels like it lacks depth and purpose.
I was also noticing that there was almost no difference when moving the condition lever from low to high or back in the new caravan pro. There should be something more going on here, right?
Something seems off with the beta / reverse thrust but since my IRL piloting experience is limited to single-engine pistons, I don't have real-world experience to base this off of. It just sounds thin and not throaty like I would expect.
Honestly, now that I am reading back through this it sounds to me like the entire engine soundscape is lacking bass and depth. That's the best way I could describe my experience.
I hope this helps. I am happy to do more testing / sampling / whatever if it would help you. Also, as an aside I initially started up my sim, uninstalled the FlightFX Piaggio and restarted the sim prior to collecting these samples. I don't think that causes an issue on '20 but I wanted to eliminate it from the board just in case.
@scoobyx
I watched your video out of curiosity, as I do not have many issues with the BKSQ caravan sounds as they are. Big question: did you adjust the sound levels in any way to normalize them for your video, against the other two aircraft?If not, then I don't really see a problem. This is just my personal opinion...take it however you would like, as I'm just trying to explain what I think your gripes are. I am a major audiophile when it comes to flightsim. I am quite particular about this aspect. (Back in the day I did a ton of sound modding for P3D/FSX, but the MSFS WWise system doesn't lend itself to end-user tinkering).
I think, basically, if you're inside of a single-engine turboprop such as a Caravan, PC-12, or a TBM, you would not hear the prop buzz the same as a twin like the Duke. The prop sound transmits through the airframe as vibrations leading to a continuous hum, but because it's very far forward of your ear, it's not the predominant sound as with a twin. The other engine sounds you hear inside are related to other components of the engine. This, I know from personal experience.
IMO, I don't think FTSIM has made any sound packs for MSFS that are even remotely decent, except for the MD80. FTSIM's Caravan sound pack adds a lot of bass and drama, but it doesn't sound like a Caravan. Not really a fair comparison.
You should try opening some of the ram-air vents if you want "MOAR PROP". There are vernier levers on the far left/right sides of the main panel for the pilots, as well as the dials for the eyeball vents above (behind the fuel selectors). Boris set each one of those up to introduce some variable air blowing sound and exterior engine noise. Like I said, they're variable so you really just have to crack them to make a difference (it shouldn't affect your cabin temp very much).
