Is it normal for the Altitude Hold function to leak altitude? I lose about 1 foot per second. After losing about 1,000 feet I need to pull up to regain altitude. I’m on autopilot following a flight plan loaded into the 530.

@BernieV yes, but JF implemented a "pseudo" altitude hold function for the sim

@KC-Pilot I can see where that would be useful for testing. Wasn't clear to me if the original poster was using that hidden functionality.

I was indeed using the Alt Hold mode. If it’s a pseudo function I wonder why it wouldn’t hold altitude rock solid.

@RedAdirondack Mine does hold the altitude accurately. Try making sure the aircraft is steady in level flight before engaging it.

It is not something for testing but an official feature for this addon to make the life of virtual pilots a bit easier if they like.

My AP HOLD works fine, even if I engage it during climb. It remembers exactly the altitude at the time when I engaged it and returns to it.
@RedAdirondack Check if your controls still give pitch input when centered. Make sure you have a deadzone configured so that in neutral position there is no pitch command which would override the autopilot altitude hold.
