    Hello!

I noticed that on the recently released Caravan Professional, the installer gave us the option to install the addon in a custom location - which is a great feature.

Are there plans to update all BlackSquare / JustFlight installers to utilise this logic going forward?

    Thank you

      Hi,
Thanks for the kind words about the recent update to the installers. These changes will be rolled out to all future products, and over time we will add it retrospectively to existing products as they are updated.
We have this week reworked the Baron and Bonanza installers to use this feature, and we will work back over the rest in time.

@MrMoss99, you can try running the installer executable through the Command Prompt and adding the word BROWSE at the end. That worked for me when I installed the Pipers, for example.

I didn't know that! Might give that a go one day. Cheers.

            That's great, thank you 🙂

On a longer term basis, are there any plans to introduce a JF Addon Manager style application? It would be great to have an application that handles updates & installations in one place. At the moment, the legacy installers (whilst nostalgic), are a bit clunky for 2026. The current steps to receive updates are:

            1. Receive email from JF about a product update (which can be easily missed)
            2. Navigate to the website & each time login
            3. Download the installer
            4. Run the installer

I expect the reason these installers have been around so long is because their robust against piracy, which is totally fair enough. However, if there is an equally secure solution that makes this process a little easier in future - that would be amazing.

            Thanks team!
