404 Errors in Map screen on the EFB
-
Hey, I'm having the same problem with the Piper Warrior II in MSFS.
Besides, it's also making all the windows/apps on the top drop-down menu to take a long time to open, at least in MSFS.I just tested with another generic plane and had no issues. As soon as I get in the Piper Warrior and open the OpenTopo map app in the EFB, all the windows on the drop-down menu (Checklists, Weather, map...) do not load or take a really long time to load - it seems that the sim is being slowed down in the background due to it trying and failing to receive data from OpenTopoMap.
If anyone else is flying on MSFS (not 2024), please check this out too.

Thank you everyone for reporting this.
Just to confirm that we are aware of “404 Error Page” errors that have begun appearing on the ‘Map’ app of the EFB/Tablet. This affects all of our products in MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 products, and we suspect it is the result of changes made by the map provider.
We have logged this on our internal trackers for investigation, and we aim to include a fix in the next update to each of our products. We are unable to provide a timeframe for when the update(s) will be available; however, we will inform all customers via our normal channels once they are ready.
In the meantime, users with an active Navigraph subscription can continue to take advantage of the Airport and En-Route Charts provided in the ‘Charts’ app on the EFB/Tablet. For users without an active Navigraph subscription, we would recommend accessing the core simulator’s maps: VFR Map (MSFS 2020) and Flight Planner (MSFS 2024), both of which are available via the toolbar at the top of the MSFS window and provide a similar functionality to the 'Map' app on our EFB/Tablet.
We will lock this thread for visibility of this message, and we will post any updates below.
