Autopilot failed on take off
-
Claiming out of Leeds EGNM and turned on heading and lvl change with A/T on, the AP master1 on.
Turned from 315 left as on Xbox so could not load the current R31 departure NELS4W. So was flying heading and distance/Alt to waypoint.
Then the AP trips off and I get a red ‘AP’ on the display on display above/right on the hsi.
Checked and all AP mods were cleared and auto throttle off.
AP disengage was ok , cycled that but AP1 and AP2 would not light up and was left hand flying . Luckily there was then a power cut 5 min later

So
Any ideas on the AP issue?I cycled heading , LNav, switched AP master on /off on overhead.
Could get modes to light ok but Not AP 1/2 engage.
Not keybindings and sim default X button didn’t toggle like it should

I just completed my first flight with the RJ 100 in 2024 and faced same issue:
Upon intercepting LOC at CYFB ILS Rwy 34 the autopilot stopped working with the exact same behavior as described above.
I could only continue the approach manually. It was not possible to turn off the AP light including the warning sound until aircraft shutdown.
I have to say that it happened while being on active pause for a short while.

We are aware of some scenarios where changing the simulator time (or using active pause) can cause the timers in the RJ code to go out of sync with the timers in MSFS 2024. We are investigating this, and we aim to have a fix implemented in an upcoming update to the RJ.
In the meantime, we would recommend minimising any time changes or active pause usage when using the RJ in MSFS 2024.
