TRP variables not settable?

I'm trying to build some buttons to manage the TRP using Stream Deck and AAO, but it seems that the JF_RJ_TRP_ variables are not settable. I read the values, though. Is it by design or am I doing something wrong?

Also I'd like to create buttons to switch the IRS to NAV, because they're a bit difficult to reach. The variables JF_RJ_IRS1_mode_switch_prev and JF_RJ_IRS2_mode_switch_prev read the values but are also not settable.
