Plane Frozen/Locked Up

Has anyone encountered an instance where the RJ just completely locks up and you can't manipulate anything? Tonight while cruising along, all of a sudden I just couldn't turn any knobs or push any buttons. The plane kept flying along happy as could be, but I couldn't do a single thing. Couldn't disengage the AP, nothing at all. Really weird. Hadn't had any issues in the flight up until then. This is actually the second time it's happened to me I guess. Happened once while I was prepping for a flight.

Happened to me the other day. On approach and I could not select LOC or APP. When I pressed those buttons
on the panel - NO RESPONSE. Had to do a manual landing. -

Tried again from LSZH to LFBO. This time it worked perfectly

I've had a small handful of flights since then and not had this issue again. Guess I'll chalk it up to a one off.
