Does the RJ/146 have wing flex implemented? I've been trying to figure out if it does or not?

The 146 and RJ don't have wingflex implemented as the wing on the real aircraft is very rigid and produces little flex compared to more conventional aircraft. It is something we have logged on our internal feature request tracker to consider for a future update, but it's not something we would be able to commit to adding.

Oh okay, bit of a shame but understandable. Thank you for the reply.

@Mark Sorry to partially disagree with you, they have visble wingflex and even engine wobble. But I understand this is an implementation that has been skipped.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQxw5jDkwXM at 55:50 you can see the wobble on quite a clear day. There aren't many reference videos, though I've been in a few 146/RJ and have seen it wobble and wing movement. The wings go up/down to around 20/30 cm's after T/O and landing. :)

@SwissairMD11 great video find! One can only hope it will be contemplated for a future update. Definitely a +1 for my vote!

The lack of this feature saved me some cash for something else. I naturally thought and expected a basic feature such as wingflex was included, I was pretty surprised reading it is not implemented. Hopefully it will come. A "Professional" product surely deserves it. The ARJ has a very visible wingflex.

@kityatyi Do you spend a lot of time looking at the wing while flying? Just for fun, i have never actually looked at the wing and paid attention to it flexing while flying as a passenger or operating an aircraft, aside from checking flight controls or verifying the flaps came down in a GA aircraft. When do you usually watch the wing flexing in other add ons?

P.S I am not being sarcastic or facetious, legitimately asking to understand the use case for this feature. I reread this post and wanted to make sure you didn't misunderstand my intent.

Sometimes when I'm on a flight over some scenery like mountains or especially nice clouds, I like to place my camera out one of the cabin windows. The wing and engines of the RJ/146 are particularly nice and easy to admire, so I usually choose a seat just aft of the wing. I gotta say, while wing flex is cool to see, I've never missed it on these planes. I appreciate the other features that are well-modeled, such as the wonderful cockpit and the working systems. It might not have wing flex modeled, but it's still a great plane!

Yes, I do look at the wing very often, especially during longer cruise segments. These days wing flex is something one can reasonably expect, especially from a product in this price range. Nonetheless, I have faith in the talented JF development team and I hope they will add this feature in an upcoming update. This, the lack of route depiction in the Navigraph enroute charts and the lack of a flex temp calculator are the two main reasons why I am not buying the ARJ. Too many things missing at the moment.
