    Hi,

I’ve noticed a potential issue with the VS mode. After takeoff (around 2000ft AGL), I activate the VS mode and wait for the pitch to synchronize with the flight director bar before engaging the autopilot.
However, once I do this, the aircraft begins to behave erratically - pitching back to 0 degrees and then oscillating around the target vertical speed by approximately +/- 500ft/min.

Are there any known bugs or issues with this behavior? I’ve already opened a support ticket 3 days ago, but I haven’t received any response yet.

Thank you very much for your help!

    Same here.

Not only during climb but regarding all vertical modes of the Autopilot in all stages of flight.
The Autopilot appears to react way too aggressively.

    Best regards

Sadly sounds a bit like a re-run of this one on the 146: https://community.justflight.com/topic/6246/glideslope-problems/21

Effectively the AP in there runs into issues in (relatively) low-speed regimes. I've found it to calm down after manually stabilising the plane enough for the AP to only need small adjustments, i.e., only enable the AP into a properly trimmed out plane.

Sounds like the VS mode might need some tuning.
In any case, it's more common to use LVL CHG after take-off.

The SOP I follow generally goes like this for the RJ100:
350 ft AFE: AP - ON
350-800 ft AFE: Select roll mode (LNAV/HDG)
800 ft AFE: Select climb thrust & do after take-off items (Bleeds - Set, taxi-lights - ON, RWY exit lights - OFF)
1500 ft AFE: Accelerate to 210 knots
    At VFTO: Select flaps zero.
When flaps are up: Set 250 knots and select LVL CHG.
