    Hi,

Maybe i am doing something wrong but when i program the arrival to use only an approach, for some reason the plane looses the track.
Should the last waypoint in the flight perhaps be the same as the first waypoint of the approach?

A SID (Standard Instrument Departure) is just that; a routing to leave the airfield and take you toward the airway routing you want to follow.

The aircraft will route only to a position placed into the FMS. When you say ‘approach’, are you meaning the Standard Arrival Route (STAR) or the runway approach procedure?

Getting from an airway to the airport will usually involve a Transition route to get you to a STAR (but not always). The last point on the STAR will finish at the first fix of the r/w approach.

Had a brainfreeze, meant STAR of course.
When i enter a STAR/approach combo in the UNS the plane follows just fine and the FPL shows the whole track.

But when no STAR is available, the FPL does not show the approach as entered… and hence after the last waypoint of the enroute it goes astray.

Why in this case does it not add the approach to the FPL?

    OK.

When you say ‘approach’, can you be be more specific. What type of approach?

Have you tried DCT to the first point of the approach?
