    Hi,

I've recently installed the newest 0.5.7 version of the PA Turbo Arrow III/IV package and since then the keybindings for heading bug adjustment don't seem to work anymore.

This is for the INCREASE HEADING BUG and DECREASE HEADING BUG setting in MSFS:

    35a0c1ff-b357-48fa-afa8-9a28cb0935cd-image.png

Any ideas for getting this to work again?

    Thanks,

    Gareth

I have it working via script and AxisAndOhs.
Bad thing is, when i turn the knob for HDG then the bug first moves slowly and after a short while it jumps in steps of 30⁰. This makes it very hard to set a correct HDG.

@gardak Please try pasting this WASM gauge into the Turbo Arrow III panel folder (\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_PA28_TurboArrow_III\panel), overwriting the existing file, and then check to see if the keyboard assignments work: DOWNLOAD

            It works, thanks.
Could you provide similar solution for normal Arrow III?

Hi Martyn, after replacing the existing WASM control with the new one, tuning the heading bug with the keyboard shortcuts works again, however upon further testing using the AP modes in flight I've encountered the following issues:

              • When engaging heading hold the AP now appears to switch back to roll hold almost immediately.

              • I've also tried using NAV or OMNI mode, but it switches back to HDG mode immediately.

              • Roll hold still works normally.

              • Pitch hold also works normally.

This is using the N3023K plane.

Thanks again for looking into this one, its a great plane to fly.

@gardak Is that happening with the GPS 100 and/or WT GNS configuration?

@Martyn looks like the issue is with the PMS50 plugin I use for GPS. Using the GPS100 or any of the WT GPS plugins work fine.

Hi Martyn, I want to paste the WASM gauge ,in an effort to try to resolve the HDG Bug issue on the JF Turbo Arrow ,with the Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant. However, when I follow the path you mentioned , Sim Objects/ Airplanes/JF_28PA28 turbo Arrow III, there is no panel folder. There is only State-notepad, relating to [engine.0] plus 2 entries accumulated time. Can you help me please

@andy-a not that one. Try Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_PA28_TurboArrow_III\panel\

Or maybe...Packages\Official if you got the plane from the marketplace (assuming the update has made it to the marketplace, and that it actually goes to official..not sure on that part)

@andy-a Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately no success in locating panel folder. I bought it direct from Just Flight, but I checked the Packages\Official path, just in case..no difference.

I appreciate you trying to help me. I'm in my 80's and struggle a bit at times. Thank you.

@andy-a Hi Andy. We'll be releasing a proper update very soon, with the usual automated installer, so I'd recommend waiting for that.

Hi Martyn, further to your last reply, I'm afraid the latest update did not resolve the issue re the heading bug in the Turbo arrow III.

However a workaround has got it working. I noticed on the Black Square Baron 58 Controls options, that the heading bug could be moved via the Increase/Decrease knob on the right side of the Honeycomb Bravo. This was in spite of the binding settings for the Increase and Decease having disappeared, leaving only the Select Heading Bug . I removed those 2 bindings from Controls Options on the Turbo Arrow III, and the heading bug can now be Incr/Decr by using the right hand control knob.
                                  Andy
