In the 0.1.8 update, there is the following reference..... "INCREASE/DECREASE AP PITCH HOLD REFERENCE ASSIGNMENT logic fixed, allowing for control over autopilot pitch or vertical speed."

I've tried assigning a joystick button for AP pitch increase and decrease respectively but I'm unable to get any functionality.

I've assigned this in FSUIPC because there doesn't look to be a function for this in MSFS controls menu.

Have also tried the preset menu in FSUIPC but not joy there either.

    Using latest version of FSUIPC.

    Am I doing it wrong?

    Cheers.

@bbetty These are the assignments that we're referring to:

      AP.png

With the autopilot or flight director engaged, either in PITCH or VS mode, those assignments will increase/decrease the selected pitch angle or vertical speed.

@martyn Hit and miss with this control binding.

On climb in VS it did seem to decrease VS reference, but I was unable to get it to increase VS reference.

In pitch mode it seems to have the opposite effect.

There is no movement of the pitch toggle switch on the autopilot panel down on the pedestal, should I expect this switch to move?

Usually, I would use this toggle switch with mouse selection to fine tune VS during climb or descent and I was expecting this joystick button assignment to toggle this switch, but it does not move. I'm aware that I can use sync mode to achieve similar changes to the VS during climb or descent, but I find the toggle switch handy because AP LNAV is maintained if the toggle switch is used rather than sync mode.

There does seem to be a visual indication that the reference binding is working because the control column moves forwards and backwards corresponding to the desired reference toggle. Should I expect the control column to move when using VS and Pitch Reference toggle?

Perhaps I'm just doing it WRONG! 😞
