Taxi Speed at 800-1000 RPM too fast?
-
I'm not sure if its possible to fix or is even a bug, but at low rpm taxi around 800-1000 rpms the aircraft just accelerates like a jet aircraft. It's very difficult to taxi at a normal speed without riding the brakes all the time at 800-1000 rpms. I only have a few hours in the baron but I don't remember them accelerating that fast on taxi with those rpms settings. This goes for the Baron and the Bonanza.

I've generally noticed that the rolling friction in MSFS is much lower than I've experienced in the real world. Anyone who has experiencing pushing a two ton airplane around on those tiny wheels will know what I mean. Just cut the engine completely at those speeds, and see how long it takes to stop. I've been meaning to run this experiment in the real world sometime.

I agree with this.

Yes, the ground friction in FS2024 is nothing like it could have been, or hopefully becomes. It is also a major contributer to swaying across the centreline of runways as if tires didn't exist at all. In RL, tires have a lot of friction, especially laterally. If you have ever wondered why it is hard to keep ANY aircraft going straight when landing or taking off - there's your answer. Asobo have a lot to answer for imho after having raved about how they modelled this feature.
