Thanks for doing some research! That does not really surprise me. The custom time slider was one of the most confounding UI choices in MSFS 2024 to me. I'm still not really clear on what the concept is. Is it always centered around noon GMT? All I know is that whatever time I want to fly always seems to straddle the two ends of the slider. If you have any forum links you want to share on this subject, I can investigate more and bring it to the developer forum if I can write a solid bug description.
@Black-Square Actually the time slider does kind of make sense with the rolling 24 hour live weather IMO.
Slider all the way to the right is current time, all the way to the left is 24 hours ago. So left is as far in the past you can go weatherwise. Personally like flying with live weather but being able to select the time of day with the weather acting appropriately for that time, especially for dawn and sunset.
If you don’t usually use that feature I see how it doesn’t make any sense, I almost always fly with live weather at a different time
