Is it actually the case that the Com 2 radio in the new Archer III doesn't support 8.33KHz frequencies ?
Support for that is a standard feature of the Garmin GNC 255 radio that's listed as installed and if it is a deliberate omission it seems even stranger if it was a UK-based Archer used as the real-world example.
