Go around and xp
-
Maybe that's a useless question,
I wondered, if you're forced to do a go around at destination (e.g. BATC can call you to go around). And you do that and all went well. At the end of the flight you may have a delay (loss of xp, hmm, ok). But you also get 'negatives' on the debriefing cause your 'sinkrate' exceeded a certain limit during 'landing' (loss of many xp). Well, of course it did. Should a pilot be punished for doing a go around? Is that a lesson we want to teach our pilots?
Is there any way for FTL to recognize a go around? I'm actually not sure if there really is one. Maybe if FTL sees a climb rate, that exceeds a certain limit (let's say 2200fpm) during landung, it would identify that as a go around? -
A go around is a not that uncommon and should be recognized by FTL... and not be penalized. It would be enough to add a button with "go around" to tell FTL that I did go around.
