    Hello
In fact, I find that the so-called free mode is far too restrictive in terms of schedules and flight plans. What I expected from free mode was that it would be similar to the free mode in MSFS (choice of departure and arrival points —with or without a flight plan—, choice of schedules and number of flights, choice of aircraft), with the addition of an analysis with a score and XP points for each flight. The important point here is that the results of these successive flights are analyzed to assess progress in the different phases.

This would already have been a significant improvement on what is offered in the various simulators, which do not provide 1) flight analysis and 2) assessment of progress after a certain number of flights.

It is clear that, for the moment, the software seems far too complicated and restrictive for amateurs who are simply looking to improve their skills using indicators, as these indicators give meaning to a new flight.

I apologize if these comments seem incongruous given your very ambitious and promising goal. Congratulations on the work you have accomplished.
    Best regards

Thanks for the feedback. Fly the Line is built around the 'Career Mode' experience, and 'Free Play Mode' is an extension of that. In Free Play Mode, you will start your profile with 0XP and the rank of Junior First Officer, and as you complete flights, you'll earn XP and climb the ranks to Fleet Captain. The higher the score you achieve on each flight, the more XP you'll earn, and the faster you'll progress up the ranks. Your performance is tracked every flight and can be viewed in the "Logbook".

Free Play Mode retains the Lifestyle and Schedule aspects of Career Mode, however, with the key difference being that you start with unlimited Money, Skill Points and Holiday Accrual. These advantages may be particularly useful for you, as it means that you can skip as many days of your schedule as you'd like via the unlimited 'Holiday Accrual', and the "Request Route" option is also available from day one, so you can choose which routes you would like to fly.

Hopefully, that provides some further explanation on Free Play Mode, and provides some tips on how you can customise that mode to suit your playstyle.

        Hello,
Thank you for your clarification. I think I can achieve a configuration that is relatively close to what I originally expected. However, I still need to be able to start a first flight, and that is not yet the case because I am stuck on the aircraft template. I thought it was defined correctly, but apparently not. I always got the message "please choose an aircraft template" and I'm sure to have done something relative to the aircraft (when creating the simbrief flightplan I choozed the c182rg and the c172 in the panel aircraft template). It looks like choice was not saved. Thank you again for helping.

Aircraft Profiles can be created on the Aircraft Profiles page (accessed from within the FTL app at Main Menu > Aircraft Profiles).

Once you've created a profile for your aircraft, that profile should then appear in the drop-down list of the "Dispatch & Pre-Flight Checks" page when dispatching the flight. Once you select that aircraft, pressing the "Go to Aircraft" or "Try Again" button should dispatch the flight.

          Hope that helps.

            Hello,
It's OK now. My first flight analysis was completed with FTL. Is it possible to start again the same flight ? Because of the logic behind the software I guess it is not. Anyway I ask. Thank you again.

Redoing a flight isn't something I have tried, in all honesty. You may be able to do it via the "Request Route" feature. If the route isn't an option there, you could try regenerating your schedules (via the edit button at the top right of the app), and then using the "Request Route" feature to select the route.

                Hello,
Before starting DAY2 flights I asked a new set of routes and I got a new schedule. Flights for DAY2 are now the same as those for DAY1 already completed. Is this at random ?

                  Hello,
It's not at random. I did the same before starting DAY4 and I got the same schedule as DAY1 and DAY2.
                  Best regards

When generating schedules, a "Duplicate Route Probability" slider is available in advanced settings. This slider will vary how often the same routes are generated in the schedules.

With "Infrequent" selected, there will be a low chance of seeing the same route generated multiple times.

With "Very Frequent" selected, there will be a high chance of seeing the same route generated multiple times.
