What about short flights ?
-
Hello,
Most of times my flights are short (less than half an hour). Is there a minimum limit for using the soft ? is this limit depending on the mode ? At the moment I use My FS Flight and FsQC and these softs are working well for very short flights (less than 10 mn). Thank you very much for comments.

Hi Gerod - at the moment the minimum flight time is 30 mins. So you could generate a schedule that is between min 30 and and max 31 minutes. It sounds like that may still be a bit long for what you need. Fly the Line is based on slightly longer ranges and is designed to support airline based routes so it may not quite work for you. What type of aircraft do you typically fly on the shorter routes?

Hello,
Thank you for your quick answer. Of course for short flights the aircrafts are of general aviation type (pa28, a2a comanche, b58,.....).
I understand that the software was designed for career mode, but I would have thought that a solution allowing short flights in free mode would be possible.
Another reason for short flights is the use of VR: does the soft accept analysing flights in this mode ?

Actually, your point about the short flights in free mode is a valid one. It may fit better in Schedule mode as that doesnt have all the Career elements attached to it. There are a few things I need to do first and it is on the to-do list and that is to enable full support of smaller airports. I had a go at this a couple of weeks ago and it was too complex to introduce this late so I had to shelve it, but it's something I plan to revisit soon.
As for VR. It's not been tested in VR but I do have a VR headset so I'll add it to my list of items to check.
