Radio Magnetic Indicator green arrow not moving
-
The RMI Green arrow does not move, the radio I use to set frequency is the GNS530, I set it to VLOC, I would like to use the RMI for navigation using the green and yellow arrows to gain a fix and also for landing, I enter a VOR Frequency, switch to VLOC on GNS530, switch both arrows to VOR ( you can also select ADF ) and only the yellow arrow moves towards the station, the way I understand it, both needles should point to the VOR station if they are both set to VOR and the frequency entered is set to the VOR Station, I did a clean reinstall to no avail, is there something else I am not doing or is anyone else having this issue or have a solution?....actually, I have had this issue since the purchase date. Thanks

The yellow arrow is for your Nav1 navaid, the green one is for Nav2. In order for the green arrow to point to something, you'd need to tune your Nav2 radio to it.
@jmarkows That's the way I understood it should work, I use the double GNS530 configuration, the two units side by side, the GNS530 does not have a nav1/nav2 selection available, so I tune in two separate frequencies and the needle does not move, I even changed the configuration switches to single unit so as to display both separate nav1/nav2 radio control units and then I tuned both radios and the needles still don't move, I usually only use VOR stations.

I could tell that you prefer navigating by VORs from your username! I have tremendous fun that way too, so I hope you're enjoying my aircraft.
I just tried using both needles on the RMI in the currently public build of the Duke, and it works as expected. I assume you're certain the station in question has a VOR transmitter, and not just DME? If you continue to have trouble, please upload a video or screenshot here. I'm happy to help you figure this one out.

In that case I would expect one 530 to be Nav 1 and the other Nav 2, but the fact that one or both didn't work with just the plain nav radios installed is puzzling.
I think Nick is on the right track with the next step being what, exactly, you're trying to tune with the radios.

@jmarkows I am using the VOR from Hartsfield Airport in atlanta so I always assumed the signal was good, but that was on the ground when it wouldn't work at all, for a while there in the air I got it to working but then it appeared to stop and I was thinking this thing works when it feels like it, but I think I read in the manual that the signals are simulated to behave somewhat like the real aircraft, so maybe on the ground the aircraft was simulating a blocked signal or something behind a bldg, maybe I am used to used to simulated aircraft that don't act like real aircraft and this sim acts real, I have it working in the air to satisfaction much thanks for the help assistance.

@Black-Square Yes, I am enjoying the King Air overhaul, you've done well, its a great work, good realism, The VOR used is out of Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta, so I assumed the signal was good, as I mentioned to Jmarkows, it appeared to not work on the ground and in the air it seemed to work some times, I even did a clean reinstall, but as I recall in the manual that this Aircraft simulates real radio signals, so perhaps it behaves like a real radio simulating blocked signals behind bldgs, mountains...etc. maybe I am not used to flying a simulator that acts like the real plane, I am still learning it, it seems to be satisfactory for now, and yes, my username is the military Tactical Aid to Navigation system acronym, the first time I heard the acronym I liked it, so I use it.
