I don’t believe so, I think Nick mentioned he looked into it but it didn’t work as well as he hoped. Not sure what thread that was in.

Still having no sounds in the TBM.

Did you make sure you have the default Asobo TBM 930 activated (it doesn’t have to be locally installed, at least on my machine it’s not) and that you do not have the 2020 version of the 930 still copied into your community folder (if you copied it over before the 2024 version of the 850 was released)? All I had to do on my end was delete the TBM 930 I copied from MSFS 2020 and then install the 2024 version of the 850 and the sounds worked fine. @drhorriblephd above also posted some steps you can try if you’re on the MS store version (I’m on steam so can’t comment on them). I’d say if none of that works you’d want to try a support ticket.

@Iconography Okay thanks. I really hope he can find a way to make it work or Asobo can make it easier for him. I've flown some default piston planes in MSFS 2024 and the props on them look truly amazing, way better than the static textures we got in MSFS 2020. I was hoping to get the same amazing look on the Blacksquare planes but I guess it's not to be just yet.

I uninstalled and reinstalled. It's now seems to work OK.

@meurkel I finally found the post I was thinking of: https://community.justflight.com/post/41564

So there’s a chance it will happen but not until he’s satisfied with how it looks (but he goes into a lot more detail than that).

Well there he said he‘d probably make it optional so people can choose whichever they prefer. What changed his mind?

Hard to say but I interpreted that as he would implement as optional IF he could find a way to make it work well enough that he was happy with it. I do gather that he’s been working on more pressing things after the release of SU3 so if I was to hazard a guess it’s not high on the priority list but that’s just speculation. Hopefully as things settle with the sim updates it will make things easier.

When you mean v1.3 - Marketplace update this is for msfs2020? Because in 2024 I don't even see the Black Square aircrafts. I really hope you update the marketplace in 24 soon, I bought all my Black Square aircrafts in the marketplace in 2020 and really miss them in 24. Thank you for your amazing aircrafts!!

                  Hello all,
I am a very confused customer. I purchased the Black Square TBM850 via the msfs2020 martketplace some time ago, with the understanding it would be eventually upgraded to msfs2024 full compatibility. The whole thing has gotten to be a confusing mess with the release of the justflight option without having the marketplace option at the same time. Please understand, I am willing to wait for the marketplace release, since apparantly ASOBO seems to have made things difficult for developers. However, I keepp reading that it is available in the marketplace, only to find out it is not available. So many posts are far out of date and no one is keeping us updated (mushroom syndrome?) Why are we being treated with such apparent contempt. I paid in good faith, but when I inquire from anywhere, all I get is "it was sent to ASOBO, we do not have any control". Well, I know for sure I don't have any control. Can someone from ASOBO take some responsibility here and try and keep us informed. We cannot rely on searches on this website or anywhere else, since everything has gotten so scrambled between black square, just flight, and asobo. My head is spinning. I plan on waiting on the marketplace release for tho 2024 upgrade. I might have just said, the heck with it, I will just go ahead and buy from just flight, but it doesn't seem that release has gone so smoothly either and I do not think I will risk it. Please, someone...think of your customers. Black Square: You are not the publisher, but these people are not helping you. Just Flight: There are places on the web that are saying that marketplace purchasers should download from your website (which is obviously wrong). None of this is helping you either. Can no one put any pressure on ASOBO to even keep us updated? Depending on where you look, you will be told it is available, or it is not available. I have had my say and do not intend to waste any more of my time on this issue. Someone, please do something!!!!

Hi @sajamo. Thanks for letting me know how you're feeling. The only way that I can do my best to ensure an enjoyable experience for my users is if they share how they are feeling. Since I've released my updates for MSFS 2024, I have been feeling this increasing sense of confusion as well. I get emails and messages daily now, inquiring what is available where and when. It seems that this crossed some threshold with MSFS 2024, as my users previously understood where to find their updates based on where they purchased, and who sent them email notifications. I don't blame anyone for this confusion, because the MSFS 2024 experience has been confusing in all aspects for us developers too. We even have a completely different system for uploading aircraft for marketplace approval than we did in MSFS 2020, which requires its own specific assets.

Unfortunately, "it was sent to ASOBO, we do not have any control", has been the only answer I have been able to supply, because it's a complete surprise to us (myself and the Just Flight team) when our aircraft are released on the marketplace. I even find the descriptions I wrote for my aircraft completely rewritten with phrases and details that I would not use myself. Without getting into more details, I have long said that packaging my aircraft for the marketplace is possibly my greatest pain point as a developer.

Now, on to the pragmatic. It sounds like you understand that a MSFS 2024 marketplace update for your TBM will come from the MSFS 2024 marketplace, and nowhere else. If you have any links to people providing incorrect information online, we can try to counter those by posting the correct information. In the future, I recommend to everyone that purchasing from Just Flight directly obviously gives us the best control of how and when you receive updates, and how we notify you by email directly. This also gives you the most control, because the aircraft is stored locally on your computer, instead of streaming from Asobo's cloud. This means that you can even make edits to the aircraft, or I can send you custom requested features, should this ever interest you.

In the meantime, please tell me what else I can do to clear things up, or improve the experience for you and others. In hindsight, our email and post about all my aircraft being update for MSFS 2024 could have contained some of this clarifying information, but we also run the risk of that information becoming obsolete before it's even published due to the unknown marketplace release schedule.

                      @sajamo

Just to follow on from what Nick has written above. Firstly, thank you for your feedback and our deepest apologies if we have cuased confusion. To respond, I think it would initially help to go through the various characters in this drama:
Black Square - developer of the TBM 850 (see post above)
Just Flight - publisher and retailer of the TBM 850 (host of this forum and associated website)
                      Asobo - developer of MSFS2020 & 2024
Microsoft - publisher of MSFS2020 & 2024 and also owner of the Microsoft MarketPlace

On the 5th September 2025 we (Just Flight) released an update (developed by Black Square) for the TBM850 - you can read all the details of what it includes here: https://support.justflight.com/support/solutions/articles/17000137147-tbm-850-msfs-changelog
This release went as smoothly as any other major update and customers should be enjoying the benefits of it as I type.

The update was for versions of the software purchased direct from Just Flight's website or from the sites of Just Flight's direct retail partners such as Simmarket or Aerosoft.
Among other things, it updated the TBM850 to MSFS2024 compatibility.

                      see: https://www.justflight.com/articles/msfs-2024-compatibility-and-updates-for-all-black-square-aircraft

The Microsoft MarketPlace for 'in game' purchasing is a completely separate system and, as Nick has outlined above, the versions of any title sold there are specific to the MarketPlace. Software is sent to Microsoft by the developer or publisher and a specific version for PC is 'wrapped' for the MarketPlace. The developer/publisher is then allowed access to test the MarketPlace version and, if approved, Microsoft will release it on their store.
The same process takes place for console (X-Box) - although a product released on PC may not necessarily come out on console at the same time - if ever.

The same process takes place for patches and updates: ie submission / rework / approval / release (with PC and console variants).

There is no fixed timescale for this process - releases are generally pushed out once a week by Microsoft and the new release or update must be wrapped by Microsoft as their time permits.

So, all we can confirm for the moment is that the TBM850 has been updated for 2024 for customers who bought the title from anywhere other than the Microsoft MarketPlace.
When we return to work next week we will see if there have been any issues reported and if there is any clue as to when the MarketPlace version will come out. NB that the MarketPlace will automatically update the software for you - there should be no need to re-download or copy files etc.
