I have TBM 850 and Duke stutters as well in MSFS2024. Very bothersome in VR. Thanks for working with Asobo to fix this.

can you please make this aircraft compatible to fs2024. It worked for me until simupdate2 beta since then I have no sound anymore. Before Simupdate2 beta it worked except the gn750.

Please make it available in 2024. I like the 850 more than the 930. so please.

@cheddarchezz have you copied the Asobo TBM 930 from MSFS 2020 into your MSFS 2024 Packages/Official2020 Folder or into your Community folder? Everything in the 850 has worked for me since I did that.

I'm not on the beta, but I've reinstalled the sim a number of times, and every time I have to again disable items I don't want active, and enable items I do want that the sim doesn't recommend. And I recall one of the initial problems when I tried the TBM in 2024 was that it had no sound, and installing the 2020 version of the 930 is what sorted that out. I'm not sure if you've checked this, but I have a hunch that when you switched to the beta, the sim may have disabled your 930 from 2020, and enabled the 2024 version. And even though I'm not on the beta, something did change with my TBM about a week ago, I suddenly had problems starting it. As an experiment, I moved the 2020 Asobo model to my Community folder, and it fixed the problem. But now I wonder: did the 2024 version get enabled somehow? Maybe moving the 2020 version from the Official2020 folder to the Community folder just triggered it to swap the 2020 version in again.

What I would do to help diagnose the issue, is look in my aircraft list to see which 930 the sim was loading. It's possible it reverted to the 2024 version for some reason, and you didn't notice. If you haven't already tried this idea, it might be worth your time to check. The 2020 version will be listed as "Daher TBM 930 - Asobo Studio." The 2024 version will be "Daher TBM 930 - Asobo Studio" as well, but underneath it will say "Passengers." You could also check by searching "TBM" in marketplace->my library to see which one is enabled. The 2020 version is 0.1.120 and the current 2024 version (found in "base content") is 3.19.0 although 3.10.0 is also available for me.

Hope you figure it out, it's such a great plane to fly.

    @RPGamerous

hi. I tried as you said but how can I disable the plane. With simupdate2 I have 2 tbm930 daher in my library folder. One is version 4.10.0 the other is 4.10.2. I cannot disable them. I only get the "more options" message but there are no more options showed. Other planes I have the option to disable/enable them.

I took a screenshot of my library. How can I get FS2024 using the 2020 version of the tbm930?

    Thanks for your help

I finally got it to work!!

I had to copy the old 2020 TBM930 into the community folder of MSFS2024 so the simulator uses the installed aircraft instead of the streamed one and the sound is working even after simupdate2 now.

    Yay!!

can you tell me where I can get a 930 from MFS 2020? It will take a lot of time to install the previous game. Perhaps there is a separate package with sounds somewhere.

@Black-Square while at FS2024 compatibility, will you repack the TBM into FS2024 package? looks like Asobo restrict some newer features and SDK variables to FS2024 only. As example, personally hoping to use "AMBIENT LIGHT SENSOR" in my home cockpit but that will not report real values for FS2020 packages by design.
Also, will you look into taking advantage of the newer flight model additions in FS2024 ,i.e. improved surface deflections etc.?

I plan on exploring all of these features, I have just been overwhelmed trying to restore basic functionality and quality for my aircraft in MSFS 2024 while reporting and circumventing a nearly endless stream of bugs. Hopefully I can add all of these features in due time. In the meantime, you can use "L:bksq_SolarBrightness" (0-1), which should give a close approximation for display brightness in all of my aircraft in 2020 and 2024. I have also been using A:GLASSCOCKPIT AUTOMATIC BRIGHTNESS in my Velocity, in case that does any better for you in MSFS 2024.

Thanks for the rapid and detailed reply. Well understood.... from the little I've seen, life is not easy for developers with MSFS2024 , especially in the current state.
Thanks for the SolarBrightness var! will surely try it!

I deleted MSFS 2020 and I don't want to wait 5 hours to reinstall just to copy some sound files. Guess I have to wait for the update/remodel...

I've really enjoyed flying the TBM 850 in FS2020 and, like many others, have been patiently waiting for a compatibility update for FS2024. With limited information on when that might be released, I attempted to install version Install_BKSQ_TBM850_MSFS_0.1.2.exe. Unfortunately, the installer fails, stating that MSFS is not detected on my system due to the inability to locate the UserCfg.opt file.

In the meantime, is there a way to manually direct the installer to the FS2024 UserCfg.opt location so we can continue using the aircraft until the official update arrives?

It's worth noting that some other developers, while acknowledging their aircraft aren't fully compatible with FS2024 yet, have at least updated their installers to allow users to proceed—albeit at their own risk.

I'm curious why a similar approach hasn't been considered here. I'm sure there's a reason, though whether it's one that truly addresses customer concerns or simply serves to placate is another matter.

In order for the Black Square TBM to really work, you need the 2020 Asobo TBM 930 installed in your 2024 Community folder, because the 850 uses those sounds. If you just use the 2024 TBM 930, you'll probably find some other oddball issues as well.

It's the same for the other Black Square conversions, as well -- gotta copy the 2020 versions to your Community folder.
