No Traffic

Further. When I went into my game settings I noticed I did not have Aircraft Traffic Type set to OFF, as recommended in your manual. I rectified that.
I also set No substitutions.
I also set MSFS Live Traffic to OFF. It was ON. I admit, I’m not sure exactly what that is relating to. Is it Live AI?
Once I’d done that I went back into EGLC and there were lots of BA planes there. However, rather than saying Speed Bird the ATC controller is spelling the call sign phonetically (Sierra Papa Echo … etc).
Jumped over to EGLL and all callsigns of all airlines is being said phonetically. I’m not sure if it’s anything I’ve done in the settings.

The phonetic spelling thing is a bug. The MSFS Live Traffic is the default.

Thank you.
Just a quick question. If I’m just interested in JF Traffic aircraft being generated, what should I set MSFS Live Traffic to?

Thank you. The phonetic spelling of the callsigns. Is that a bug in FS or JF Traffic? I think it is FST. Looking into it.

Conflicts with AI traffic and GSX are not new - there have been issues with FSTL IIRC - we did cover this in an FAQ about invisible aircraft and made a tool to facilitate it.
I do not have these issues with FSLTL. I have always used GSX with no tweaks. I've tried No Ground, No Jetways, Removed GSX, Started with GSX , but no Couatl. Sometimes it works at the origin, but not the destination. It just doesn't work right for many users. Very few streamers use it since release.

Some users (not all - same as with FS Traffic) have experienced issues with other traffic programs and maximum objects. I posted up some links to the discussions online but I won't do that again as it caused some upset. Maximum objects can also be affected by the airport. However, it might be that some other issue is causing you these intermittent problems. If you are able to replicate the same problem on the same flight every time it may be possible to get to the bottom of it. We have an update due out shortly and if that doesn't resolve it, let Support know and we can look into it.
-
@derek Thanks. I will wait until the update since I can't repeat it at the same airport. If problems persist, I will submit a ticket.
Edit: I have unlinked GSX from my community folder again and FST worked when I loaded into Payware KMEM and EGLL. also spawned aircraft at default KBNA. Don't have time for a full flight but will report back if there are more snags.

Have you used the FST tool to reduce clutter? With that you shouldn't have to remove GSX or different airport scenery.

@mookie2661 The update is out now. Destination traffic should now be much more consistent. The maximum object issue still exists but we've made a few changes to help.

@derek Yes. I have reduced is as low as it can go.
OK - see John's post above - the update should make a difference.

Just starting a flight EGNS-EGLL.
No aircraft at EGNS as it stands. I have traffic spawn timing set to 120 minutes.
According to FlightRadar there is an EasyJet A320 due to depart at 1215, and a Loganair AT76 due to depart at 1225. I would have expected to see these aircraft in game. I’ve been loaded in for about 10-15 minutes so far. It’s currently 1050z as I type this.
Another aircraft is due to depart at 1300, so I’m going to hang about here until after 1100 to see if it spawns in.
There are no arrivals due until 1145, so I’m not expecting to see any landings.
My destination is EGLL, which has been set in the JF toolbar icon window.
Note: I do acknowledge that the JF timetables were correct as of summer 2022, so it’s possible there has been winter changes to the real life schedules.
I’m probably going to try a flight later using MSFS Live Traffic, disabling JFT timetables (but allowing JFT to populate the game with its aircraft models).

I’m still at EGNS and no aircraft have spawned in. Whilst the game is still running in the background I have opened JF Traffic Control Centre to look at EGNS departures for a Saturday.
As suspected the JF timetable is different to real life (hence why FlightRadar does not reflect what is spawning in game). However, as above, I acknowledge timetables change, and JF’s is set as of summer 2022.
Saying that though, the JF timetable tells me I have one flight departing at 1220 for EGLL. It’s currently 1114 both in game and in real life. As my Time Before Departure Value in TCC is set to 120 minutes, I would have expected to see this flight at the gate. Nothing there unfortunately.
The next flight in JF timetable is 1400, so I won’t expect to see that spawn in until 1200, 45 minutes from now. I’m not going to hang around for that, so I’m now going to depart for EGLL. I think it’s an hour flight. Hopefully I’ll see something at EGLL. 🙂
