Price Difference for Bonanza Professional on Xbox

@jmarkows Did you read everything here? If so, then you should know that the original topic was a discount promotion where you get 20% off if you bought the Analog Bonanza and then purchase the Professional version. However, this promotion only applies to PC customers, not Xbox customers. That’s what this is about.

Are you able to send me something showing the offer that PC users got that Xbox users didn’t? I’m not aware of any such offer as my understanding is the MSFS marketplace does not support offers between unrelated products, and I can’t find anything on our MP product portal that looks like such a thing. There was a 20% offer to Analog customers when we released the Pro version, but that was only for our direct customers and never appeared on the marketplace, due to such a mechanic not being supported. I wonder if this is being mixed up with a marketplace offer?
If you can send me a screenshot or whatever you can find showing this offer to PC users, I can approach my MS contacts and find out where it originated from. -

Oh my bad, I thought your complaining about an unusable product in 2024 even though it was only advertised for 2020 was the issue. That's my bad for reading this drivel.
Try installing it locally or not, I'll keep flying my Professional that I got discounted

I’m also on Xbox and I understand the frustration, but I think your ire against Just Flight is misdirected. It really should be directed towards Microsoft, for providing a very inflexible marketplace, where developers aren’t allowed the freedom that other 3rd party stores do.
Just Flight offer the discount where it’s possible, so it’s not some deliberate policy to screw some of the customers over. It’s also not only Xbox customers that are affected, if I understand correctly, it’s the same for PC users that bought from the marketplace. The difference, of course, is that the possibility to buy from other stores exist on PC, but not on Xbox.
For everyone that’s trying to provide solutions on how to make the Analog series work on 2024: there exists no community folder on Xbox, so what workarounds may have worked on PC, does not help someone on Xbox. While I don’t own specifically the Analog Bonanza, I do own the Analog King Air, and no amount of tinkering has ever gotten that thing to fully work in 2024. It is, however, working splendidly well in 2020.

With that in mind, I’m looking forward to the announcement and release of a Professional version of the King Air, for MSFS2024, which will no doubt also not be available at a discount, for owners of the marketplace version of the Analog King Air.

@SadBucket Please add me to the "need my King Air" list, too lol... for some reason, my adapted analog version stopped working for me in 2024, after being great for months.

@RPGamerous I thought it still worked for me, what caused it to stop working?

@SadBucket I have the greyed out screens issue several others have reported that affects sometimes the King Air Analog, sometimes the Caravan Analog -- for me, it's both. I'm not worried about it any more to be honest, just been enjoying the Baron and Bonanza instead!

I’m still trying to stay polite. I don’t care whether it’s an aircraft or ‘just’ software — it doesn’t work in the 2024 version, and I no longer use the 2020 version. So basically I now have an aircraft (software) for the trash. Thank you for this business policy.
I also don’t care whether the price reflects anything — the money is gone, and the aircraft/software doesn’t work in the current sim. I really have to think about whether I should keep buying aircraft/software from this company.@striety said in Price Difference for Bonanza Professional on Xbox:

I'm struggling to understand this - Blacksquare never claimed nor they advertised that their anolog upgrade was MSFS 2024 compatible. 2024 has totally different model/airplane which is why the previous analog update won't work. This the primary reason why Blacksquare did professional series. However if you install the old 2020 model - perhaps the previous product will work, I know few people managed to work legacy version like that. Analog upgrade is legacy product and has been replaced by professional series so I don't think you can expect any further updates there. Developers can correct me If I'm wrong.

@UA176yp They're on xbox, so unfortunately they can't install the 2020 version.
