    Hello!! And greetings 🙂

I've been exploring and digging into the different systems in the TBM 850, trying to understand better how everything works. While doing this, and after many hours of flight, I came across a few oddities and bugs I wanted to share with the developer, in the case any of these were unknown.

    • When the EADI fails (via the tablet or circuit breaker) engaging "CMPST" mode turns OFF the EHSI. Both screens ends up being disconnected.

    • When raining, raindrops are flowing in the opposite direction in most cabin windows (Inside View). This is more noticeable at lower speeds or during taxi.

    • The DME in the EFIS is unable to hold NAV1 frequencies (holding NAV2 frequencies do work). Copilot's DME is unaffected and working fine.

    • When the "AP / Trim Master" switch is in the "AP OFF" position, cockpit Electric Trims buttons are not working (using keybinds do work).

All of the above could be replicated in both 2020 and 2024. The following one only happens in 2024:

    • The "AP Disc" button in the yoke do not disconnect the Flight Director. It disconnects the Autopilot in the first press, it removes all autopilot modes in the second press, but Flight Director remains active (showing a climb pitch angle, similar to pressing the TOGA button).

I need to say, genuinely, that the TBM 850 is my favorite aircraft in the Sim. My intention is merely to provide constructive feedback to the developer. It's an amazing aircraft, honest congratulations for your work.

    Have a great day!!

Thanks for the notes, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the aircraft! There is a lot of love for the TBM in the community, so I am always happy to apply fixes and port new features to it over the years.

I know I fixed the trim master switch issue a while back (awaiting the next update), but I'm surprised nobody else reported the window rain effects yet! I've just fixed that for the next update too. I also fixed the composite mode electrical issue a while back, which was a little less trivial to unravel.

The DME issue was actually just a display problem, rather than a radio problem, but it reminded me of a limitation with the aircraft, just in case you go looking after the next update. I boxed myself into a corner, because there is a limit on the number of NAV radios we can "spawn" in MSFS, and I need at least one to drive the DME holding. With the KNS RNAV, that leaves only one DME holding receiver to share between the pilot and copilot's DME unit. This means that whichever one is put into hold mode last will override the holding frequency of the previous one. With what an infrequently used feature this is, I figured it would go unnoticed in normal operations.

Lastly, I'm not surprised about the FD in MSFS 2024... Last time I checked, there were some undocumented changes made to the flight director that I had yet to fully investigate. I had hoped they would be reverted, but apparently not. I'll take a look later today, and see what I can learn about the new behavior.

Thanks again, and let me know if there is anything else I can do for you!

Thanks @Black-Square for your comment, I appreciate the time you took to explain everything. I'm glad to hear about that future update, you've done an excellent job keeping this aircraft updated, and I think the community really appreciates it.

I admit that the DME one is a little bit obscure lol, not really an issue in normal operations. I understand many times is the Sim itself that brings problems and limitations.

I have a small question regarding the GTN-750. I'm on Xbox and I own the PMS50 addon from the Marketplace. I noticed that in your Dukes, the 750 is running their latest version, but in the TBM the unit is running an old version.

It is possible for the TBM to also use the Marketplace addon so it always use their latest GTN-750 version?

        Thanks, have a nice day!!

@Canit said in A few bugs I wanted to share with the developer:

The last instructions I have from the PMS50 developer were to embed his software in each of my aircraft, which which he has given me automatically updating links for the latest version. If the versions are different between aircraft, that should just be due to the last time they were updated. I wasn't aware of any Marketplace addon that's always up-to-date, but I will clarify this with him before the next updates. Thanks!
