Potential problems when running multiple analysis programs in parallel ?
-
Hello,
Before trying FTL, I used My FS Flight and FqSC softwares. The rating systems/criteria are obviously not the same, but I am surprised by the big differences in technical evaluation, with FsQC being more severe and My FS Flight much less so.Could these ratings be affected by the fact that all three programs are running at the same time on each flight? What are the risks of interference?
Best regards -
We aren't aware of any compatibility issues when using Fly the Line at the same time as other analysis programs. Fly the Line reads data from the simulator, such as time, distance, landing sink rate, etc. and then analyses that data and converts it into a score and feedback.
The score and feedback may differ from product to product, as each developer will set their own conditions for what triggers a positive or negative score. For example, one product may penalise you for a -400ft/min landing sink rate, whereas another product may give you extra score for landing firmly in the touchdown zone.

I'm not sure Gerod. There may be some latency and possibly some minor performance impact between them all and that may impact how fast each app reads the data. I don't think it will cause too much of a problem as they are just "reading" sim data in most instances. That may be a better question for someone like John Dowson who is the developer for FSUIPC. I'm not sure if that answers your question?
