Three issues with Fly the Line
-
Hi there,
there're three question I have regarding FTL:
-
Is there any way for FTL to also recognize airports bought in Marketplace (2020)? Cause some of my major hubs (e.g. LEMD or LEBL) aren't in my schedule because of them beeing marketplace airports (not recognized as an addon by FLT).
-
I fly the PMDG 737 with FLT. And sometimes I have a negative point in "landing" cause FTL thinks I didn't retract my flaps after landing. I always did. Is there a specific moment / time frame, FTL expects the flap retraction? Cause I can't find a reproducing method so far (to know what is causing the wrong assumption).
-
I tried to set my profile with a minimum flight time of 60mins. But I still get 45mins flights. Is there a bug or is the 60mins just a rough time frame?
And also: I read the othere discussion about real time vs scheduled time. I would like the option to fly at the actual (real) time of the day. Because so far, I only get sectors in the early mornings (around 6 am local) and I also would like more variation with that.
Thanks.

Hi RogePete - I've answered your questions below.

I'll look in to this. I think for now, you may need to manually add your Add-on airports via Settings > Manage Airports
-
This is a known issue. I'm looking at this today and will aim to get it fixed ASAP.
-
This is also a known issue. The next build addresses a lot of the schedule issues and from early testing, I can see that the schedule now honors the min and max times more accurately so that should be solved soon.
The real time vs schedule time seems to be an ongoing discussion. Whilst I dont think it will be possible, largely due to the way Fly the Line's "game loop" works. That said, it may be possible to set your prefered start times. More often than not, changes that appear to be quite straight forward have a big knock on effect and I have to be careful that it doesn't impact other elements. I've not had a chance to give this a thorough review but it will be looked at. I can't guarantee it will be done yet.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi NeoGeo,
many thanks for your kind reply. That helps.
Regarding real time vs. schedule: It would be nice if you could set your own time for a flight in a future update. Also I like to emphasize, that the user maybe should also be able to sate the date. I imagine this might be impossible for the carreer mode, but at least for the schedule only mode, it might be worth a thought.
Cause during the time using FLT longer and longer, you won't be able to fly a sector every day. So the schedules date will get more and more behind, the longer you use FLT. It could end up in being in winter (real life date) ans still flying in summer (FLT schedule). Since - at least in 2020 - you don't have historic weather, you end up flying in late August with -5 °C outside...Best wishes
