Traffic Global road map

Hi all,
Just a quick update on the current status of Traffic Global.
Since we added GA and Cargo flights to the latest build (v1.1.1.5), that brings us a few steps closer to getting Traffic Global out of Early Access. Over the next few weeks and months we will be adding/changing the following features:-
Increasing the number of GA liveries in the fleet. Currently the fleet are using a limited number of generic liveries, and these will be expanded upon shortly.
-
Adding new airliner models and liveries to the fleet. We'll be adding 11 new airliner models (including 737s, 767s, CRJ, ERJs, Superjet and more) and many liveries for free when we switch over to a more recent set of flight plan data in a future update.
-
Re-writing the main airliner compiler so that it creates multileg flights and a more realistic balance of traffic.
In addition there will also be some inevitable bug fixes along the way. At the moment I am aware of the following bugs:
- A problem where the compiler can hang when compiling cargo traffic at the same time as GA and commercial traffic.
- The Twitter API was turned off by Twitter and needs replacing.
- Updating the statistics so they include the new GA and cargo compilers.
If any other bugs come up, please report them to the support team.
Unfortunately my available time has been dramatically curtailed by the current pandemic situation, but work continues and the remaining items will be addressed as soon as we possibly can.
Thanks for your patience. -

@Rich
Hi,
which of the following selected features can we expect at the next possible update?
The most visible part is the low traffic at some large and small airports. This feature would bring more aircraft and it would be much more authentic.
In my opinion, Traffic Global is one of the best developed program that shows air traffic and I am glad that the program is close to the final version. Thanks -

Can we still report any issues we see in the early access forum or here.
Ideally in the EA forum, but I'll be checking in with both of them

Hi Martin,
The new GA liveries will most likely be the next update. -

Hi
have you any plans of implementing military AI aircraft in traffic Global, and perhaps let them operate from airports with "ab" in there nameOle
Not as part of the program but it may be something for a PlusPak in the future.

@Rich thanks for the continued work on this, I'm enjoying using it in v5 at the moment.
One thing I'd love to see improved if possible, is that landing aircraft come to a stop very very quickly, but then taxi down the runway to a turn off very slowly. Is there a way the landing roll could be made longer and then aircraft depart the runway quicker?
With aerosoft Heathrow installed, aircraft landing on 09L stop, do a 180 and then back track along the runway to find an exit. Perhaps this is some quirk of how that airport has been developed, or a quirk of p3d AI behaviour, I'm not sure, but flagging in case there is a way to make the landing aircraft continue forward to an exit where one is available.
Thanks
Stephen

I have the same question for JF developers?
-
@Ray-Fry said in Traffic Global road map:
Will JF still continue with TG Development as MSFS will be released before this get`s to final.
Traffic Global is for P3D so no idea if it will work in the new FS until there is a final SDK etc. When FS2020 is final we will take a look and see what add-ons can be made to work but much will depend on how popular they are and how much work is involved. However, Traffic Global will continue to work in P3D as that will be unaffected by the new MS game.

I thought TG is very close to the final release or isn't it yet?
Yes - there is very little left to do but, unfortunately, our lead developer has had to take furlough due to Covid. He should be back in the next month or so and can then pick up where he left off.

Derek you cant say that "MS game" you will upset the purist, but anyway all the best JF staff and keep safe, i will still be using P3Dv5 after MSFS is released, i will buy it but i`m not allowed to say more.
