The 'sellability' of 'vintage' addons

I don't mean to harp on about the VC10 and other golden oldies, I know this topic has been covered before. But I remember hearing a reason as to why the vintage crowd hasn't been jumped on in general by developers for MSFS. Because of the limited sales in previous years with other sim platforms.
This memory rang in my mind as I saw your most recent posts about the soon to release Vulcan, and I thought - The Vulcan as an example, is surely less 'sell-able' than a vintage commercial airliner?
I mean, on the scale of 'do we develop this or not' where would the Vulcan land in your thought process vs bringing say, the VC10, or the BAC 1-11 or a Trident or something of that sort into MSFS. Of course I know and greatly love the F28, so I'm not knocking you guys for 'not producing enough vintage airliners for MSFS'. You guys are essentially the leaders in that sphere so far I think.
Essentially this post is to ask the question: Sure, vintage airliners etc might not sell as much as an A320 NEO (ugghhh, how many do we have now?) But in the grand scheme of things, if your developing a Vulcan, is it any less or more economic sence to also turn to more vintage airliners in time?

Vulcan for FSX/P3D - fully developed in-house by Just Flight. 100% owned by us and, apart from some external items, ours to do what we want with - including use as a basis to make a new one for MSFS.
VC10 for FSX/P3D - developed by an external developer. Initially released as a 'Jetliner' version and then licensed by us and re-worked into a Professional version by our in-house team. Not a viable basis to use for MSFS and would have to be built from scratch.We too would love nothing more than to release a new VC-10. We would certainly have a head start on a VC-10 compared to, say, a Comet or a BAC 1-11 (never done study level versions of those) - but the economics are very heavily stacked against these sorts of projects and there are only so many labours of love that can be undertaken before the red gas bill turns up.

Also, we have complete access to a fully live and working Vulcan (XM655) and the really friendly and supportive team at 655MaPS who look after her and have now on numerous occasions given their spare time to ensure that we have pretty much whatever we need to see the project through.
The likelihood of achieving that with many classic airliners is minimal, unfortunately. Which is genuinely a sad situation to be in.

I was never aware the VC10 was not a home grown Justflight product. Thats interesting. Very sad that not enough people, even now in the MSFS crowd have more interest in the vintage stuff. Very sad to see them all harping on about yet another A320 for instance. And not enough of them are beginning to spread their wings (pun intended) and learn some aviation history.
