Is it possible to automatically swap the SL40 COM radio for the SL30 NAV/COM radio in slot 2 when the NAV OBS 2 option is turned on, to solve the issue of it only being usable with two GPS units or one GPS as it is now?

That sounds like a failure may have occurred (as part of the Maintenance simulation in the PA-38 Tomahawk), and the state saving is causing it to be recalled on future flights. In MSFS 2024 specifically, there is some instability with state-saving logic in the core simulator that could be causing this, but it may also be caused by how a flight is ended in the simulator. We would always recommend exiting a flight via '[ESC] > Main Menu', rather than forcing the simulator to close with a shortcut such as '[ALT]+[F4]'. If the same failures continue to be present at the start of every flight after ending a flight via the above method, I would recommend deleting the WearStates.ini file from the relevant file directory below, and it'll then regenerate the next time a flight is loaded with the Tomahawk's default wear state, with no active failures: MSFS 2020 - MS Store: C:\UsersUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe LocalState\packages\justflight-aircraft-pa38\work\Wear MSFS 2020 - Steam: C:\UsersUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\justflight-aircraft-pa38\work\Wear MSFS 2024 - MS Store: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\MSFS2024\justflight-aircraft-pa38\work\Wear MSFS 2024 - Steam: C:\UsersUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\WASM\MSFS2024\justflightaircraft-pa38\work\Wear Hope that helps. Hi @Mark Thanks for the reply. 1/ Please note I also have the Just Flight PA-28 Arrow which I noted yesterday also has the same issue as the PA_38 regarding the issue with saving the fuel state. 2/ Re the ChasePlane issue. I did guess that this may be the case. Perhaps a simple method of checking the state of the various items could be implemented into the tablet i.e same items to be checked but all implemented from the tablet? Thanks again for the help. Best wishes. Bob

I have just looked into this, and it doesn't look like the PRIMER control assignments are supported in the PA38. I have therefore logged this on our internal bug tracker, and we'll add support for those in the next update. Thanks for reporting this. Mark - Just Flight

Managed to get on before leaving. Did a proper reinstall still the same. Convinced it was something in my settings. Had a look around and not one of my switches wasn’t in the same position as usual. Flicked that to the normal position and bingo. It was mapped to ‘toggle engine 1 fuel value‘. Removed the binding so won’t happen again. Once again thanks for your reply. It made me do more digging.

We have the following FAQ which covers the rudder/nose wheel steering behaviour in the PA-38 Tomahawk: https://support.justflight.com/en/support/solutions/articles/17000140437-why-can-i-not-move-the-rudder-nose-wheel-steering-when-stationary- If you continue to have difficulties using the rudder pedals, could I kindly ask you to raise a ticket with Just Flight Support at the following link, and one of our support team will be able to assist with further troubleshooting: https://www.justflight.com/support Mark - Just Flight

Thanks for reporting this. Yes, it looks like this only occurs when switching from a GPS unit to the "No GPS" option; it shouldn't occur if loading into the aircraft with the "No GPS" selected by default. As you have mentioned, the workaround for now will be to ensure VLOC is selected on the GPS prior to selecting the "No GPS" option. Another workaround will be to select the "No GPS" option on the EFB, then restart the flight so that the "No GPS" option is selected by default. We have logged this on our internal bug tracker, and we will investigate further ahead of the next update to the PA-38 Tomahawk. Mark - Just Flight

We will be turning our attention to our PA28 and PA38 fleets in the near future and beginning the process of bringing them across to MSFS 2024. We'll be sure to share updates as the process progresses. The current status of the MSFS 2024 compatibility updates for our products can be found here: https://www.justflight.com/articles/just-flight-addons-msfs-2024-compatibility-status Mark - Just Flight

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I know JF is very busy with the new RJ, so I appreciate it. I'll try what you mentioned, not just for the Tomahawk, but for the BkSq mods as well.

Ahh. Fascinating! "not a bug, but a feature" I'm going to have to ask ATC how this is solved. After all, they say to operate transponders on ALT even on ground.

Re: Just purchased. Yoke is turned full right This morning I wanted to see what was causing this. If I use my mouse to turn on the alternator, then the yoke turns to the right.
