Steam Gauge Overhaul

I believe C208 is next on agenda along with the commander 114 and aero commander 685... I do know Nick plans to bring over all the steam gauge overhaul aircraft so the king air will come eventually. Hopefully it's not too far out. You can port the analog king air into msfs2024, I believe you have to disable the king air in msfs2024, copy the asobo msfs2020 king air and black square king air folders into msfs2024 community folder and it should load up and work with only minor lighting issues (that is the light's are abnormally bright).

@Black-Square Thank you very much for the quick reply. Everything is beautiful and works great — the only downside is the persistence saving. I guess I’ll have to come to terms with that. It is a bit strange that the Hobbs shows 2 hours, which means it must have been saved at some point. I have a feeling that the method of ending the flight and then immediately reloading the aircraft, and only after that exiting to the main menu, actually worked — I’ll verify it tomorrow. Otherwise, I really don’t know what else to try. At this point I’ll probably just have to wait. I’m not sure how others are dealing with it. Most likely the same way — they’re waiting too.

I support this! A decent turbine Twin is the one thing missing in MSFS 2024. The turbine Duke is too small for many missions and the Starship is nice but too niche to play pretend flying Doctor in the Australian Outback.

@Norman99 Just to clarify, the Analog King Air and Analog Caravan do not have the turbine engine simulation that my later aircraft do, so this is expected for those older aircraft in my fleet.

Conventional search engines yield no relevant result on this matter. ChatGPT is spitting out garbage on potential fixes using camera.cfg. My intention was not to imply it was a custom behaviour; rather, asking if it could be fixed with custom behaviour. I am aware this is asking a lot, I wanted to ask anyone on this particular community if a fix has been found, or for similar experiences.

Hi reiler, back from vacation ! Regarding your cockpit view, did you try to manualy edit the camera.cfg file ? Since I don't own FS2024 for the time being, I'm afraid I can't help you much on that second matter...

@reiler Wow, this is amazing! I wish I had the space for a home cockpit. It'd be tough to decide what to build, but a King Air would definitely be in the top 5, if not the top 3.

Problem solved, I had the KA version from Marketplace, and it got detected when I installed MSFS2024, I later bought KA from Justflight because it was not possible to copy the Marketplace version to 2024. Even though I deleted the Marketplace version in 2020, it did not work until I reinstalled 2024. But after deleting the Marketplace version in 2020 and reinstall of 2024, it seems to work.

Thank you @altack and @Black-Square I originally bought the King Air from Marketplace, and it did not contain the AnalogKingAir.xml file. Now I have (also) bought it from Just flight, also because I want to move to MSFS2024, and I could not get it to work with the Marketplace version (lesson learned...) But now I have the file, my chances are much better Thanks for your help.
