FS Traffic

@art_p You are right, so I did a little testing at a small airport that only had a few departures/arrivals. FS Traffic schedules often duplicate same flights with them departing and/or arriving a few minutes apart. I observed one of the duplicate flights in the arrival schedule get there pretty much as scheduled but the other did a 360 away from the airport to delay it's arrival. AI flights will not arrive at the departure or arrival airport unless they are in the arrival schedule. AI flights from your departure airport will arrive at your arrival airport even if they are not in the arrival schedule. That made me wonder if I would see duplicates of AI arrivals from my departure airport if they were on the arrival schedule. That did not happen.

Good question. You can always open the schedule .ini file in the community folder and change the 0 to 2 with notepad and save. I guess the thinking is that 2 or 3 minutes doesn't matter because there are several varying factors that affect when the aircraft actually backs away from the gate. The schedules with odd minutes in departure times probably weren't created with the Control Centre.

@art_p I know but there must be an easier way to do that. Like an Import-button or something like that could be added to the program. Would be awesome.

@dansmith I'm not sure the Control Centre works correctly yet. Two things that aggravate me are that the day displayed is changed when changes are saved and deleting a line in scheduled flights will delete multiple lines. Editing a line is another adventure.

certainly not me, my system is not even close to yours and I run fs traffic + fsltl + aig Maybe some other factor?

well, still can't makes sense of this. I keep trying but it's just not working somehow. Just departed from LFQQ with one AI parked. So far so good, it's a small airport. Now I reached my cruising altitude and I haven't seen any other aircraft on TCAS so far, while I even overflew LFPG. It's just empty out there (compared to FSLTL, where I always see one or two aircraft once in a while). I'm heading for LEBL, but I kinda already expecting to just arrive at an empty airport.... we'll see. No Idea what else I can try at this point. Edit: okay, saw no traffic in the air or during approach BUT barcelona was populated with parked and moving planes fingers crossed...

@deepsky The pack is compatible with the new version of FS Traffic (v1.0.6)?

How does it work when you add your own schedules? If you fill in the wrong carrier for an aircraft, does it mean that plane does not show up at all in the sim? In the debug mode I saw some erros concerning missing liveries. Maybe that is the reason why I could not get my own schedules to work?

@jf-john Another update (1.0.6) and the error is still there. How difficult is it to fix?...

@bmaising I was able to regenerate after going back into the menu and starting a new flight and haven't been able to replicate the issue again since. We will check the if the issue exists at the destination next. John - Just Flight

Most of these settings are completely personal preference, bearing in mind performance. I use the same as @Art_P for Time before departure and time between cruise traffic. Substitutions - I personally prefer no substitutions as I'd rather lose a few schedules for the sake of not seeing blank liveried aircraft that you see under fallback textures. Wingspan - I would recommend having the wingspan options set to either compatibility mode Low or High so that aircraft will spawn at poorly optimised default airports. The High settings allows more widebodies to spawn at these airports however it increases the risk of overlapping aircraft when parked. LOD setting - This is dependant on your hardware. On my machine I have no issue setting this to High, however if your FPS suffers you may want to say at default or even low. It will reduce the visual quality of aircraft at certain distances though. Texture Detail - If your graphics card lacks VRAM and you are getting stutters then I'd recommend setting this to low. The textures on the aircraft will be slightly lower resolution but unless you very close up to the aircraft, its barely noticeable. Database selection - Totally personal preference. I personally prefer the winter schedules as there are a few more flights at my favourite airports. Hope this helps John - Just Flight.
