    @toby23 Hello

Work on the GA pack is to begin once this major update is out.

We are looking at Cargo in some from but this is not solid plans yet because MSFS has a few challenges when it comes to the way airports are set up. I.e. they do not separate passenger and Cargo ramps.

@rich Thanks for the update. It sounds good. And I hope you had a nice couple of days off.

I would be very happy if we get it this week.

  • LSZH: No heavies and issue on RWY 34

Hi, I just looked into that for you. I started a random flight at LSZH at a random time and could see two heavy aircraft. I also checked the size of the parking positions in the developers mode, and the ones at this gate are all big enough for big airliners, so there should not be a parking position related issue.

I suspect the issue relates to the FS Traffic flight plan. The current FS Traffic LSZH flight plan does not have lots of big airliners in it as it's a 2022 flight plan which was affected by Corona. It means if you spawn at the wrong time of the day, you'll never see big airliners as they just won't be there at that time. It may help to set the timer in the FS Traffic Control Center Options menu to 180 instead of 90. This should show lots more parked traffic at all airports.

For the A340, this one does not exist in FS Traffic yet, but you can get it from AIG for free. Here's a quick instruction, happy to elaborate. https://flightsim.to/file/55822/fs-traffic-rush-hour-schedules-for-eddf-and-kjfk

@valefan16 I think I understand what you mean. If you want to see lots of long haul aircraft parked/stationary, you can help yourself by letting FSLTL run, disabling all FSLTL IFR traffic, and just setting the FSLTL 'parked aircraft' setting to a high value. Have you tried that? This obviously makes short haul aircraft spawn as well, but certainly a few long haul ones will pop up?

I think whether the Sim Rate can be sped up depends on the player aircraft. For me, if I use Asobo aircraft or aircraft that are based on Asobo, such as the Salty 747, I can speed up and it works fine with FS Traffic.

However, if I use the FBW A320, speeding up does not work for me, and the same is true for the Headwind A330-900, which is based on the FBW A320.

You need to open the flight plan of the relevant airport where you don't want to see this airline any longer and then delete that airline's flight from that flight plan. You can do that in the FS Traffic Control Center. Happy to elaborate if you're unsure how to do that.

I have a feeling this is rather an Asobo issue than FS Traffic but I'm not sure.

@prdant For me, FS Traffic works very well at e.g. KFJK from inibuilds.

    Hi all,

I have both FSLTL and AIG models working through FS Traffic.

I have filled lots of the passenger aircraft liveries that FS Traffic currently does not offer with FSLTL liveries, and the same works where FS Traffic does not have the physical plane, i.e. I'm using FSLTL and AIG models and the respective liveries. This has enabled me to have lots of cargo traffic visible, plus a very important model for me, the Lufthansa A340-300 and A340-600 (both from AIG), which I was very keen to see in the Sim as I usually fly around Germany. See screenshots attached.

I agree with what has been said previously in this thread: Just install FSLTL and AIG as usual and don't copy anything into the FS Traffic library. This won't work because the aircraft libraries from FS Traffic, FSLTL and AIG are all a 'pack' with a layout.json file, i.e. you can't tear the packs apart, they must remain in their original shape. Once installed as usual, link the right aircraft titles in the FS Traffic aircraft manager. For me, this worked.

You don't have to install FSLTL and AIG into your community folder. If you use MSFS Addon Linker or a similar program, you can install them wherever you wish and then link them through MSFS Addon Linker. This works for me, too.

If you don't see any of the aircraft that you linked appear, it may can have different reasons. First, check you have installed FSLTL and AIG correctly. Second, check you have definitely copied the exact title of the aircraft as it is in the relevant aircraft.cfg. Don't include the quotation marks in the FS Traffic aircraft manager. Third, make sure the flight plan of the relevant airport actually has the airplanes that you want to see included in it. If not, you need to modify the flight plan, which is an easy thing to do. It's outlined in the manual. Fourth, you must obviously start your flight at a time where the aircraft you're hoping to see would be parked at the airport, according to the flight plan. It may help to set the timer in the FS Traffic options menu from 90 minutes to 180 minutes, this makes airports generally much busier. Fifth, and this is something that's difficult to remediate, AI aircraft sometimes don't spawn because the airport parking positions haven't been programmed well enough (i.e. aircraft radius too small - there are other threads on this in this forum, just search for 'radius').

Hope this helps, happy to elaborate.

@art_p Really looking forward to this. This is a problem at many airports, including, e.g. EDDF Frankfurt Premium Deluxe version or WSSS Changi from Cloudsurf Asia Simulations.

@mabeco Those are the current versions of the packages for FS Traffic. There is an update due soon but it’s not available at present.

@derek thanks I have put in a ticket. I also noticed that the product is not in the community folder. That is probably why it doesn’t show in the sim.

@hunterdouglas The problem is not FS Traffic. Apparently there is a database of airlines in FS Traffic, and since NWA does not exist anymore, it is not recognized. Since Northwest was absorbed by Delta, perhaps you should use DAL instead of NWA for this aircraft.

Great to hear that new liveries are in the works. In the meantime I have assigned airlines without liveries to various GA aircraft in areas where I fly. Creates a nice GA environment. It would be nice to have a nice selection of frame-rate friendly GA models to use as fall-back aircraft for this purpose.

Question for JustFlight: When there are multiple liveries listed for one airline aircraft, what determines which livery appears?
